(The nobles of two castles meet)
Deep in the forest next to the river a boy, around 5 years old, is struggling with catching fish. A bit further in the forest a bandit was walking through, spear in hand he had been searching for anything to hunt "Where did all the animals go... I could swear this forest was filled with deer". As the bandit quietly complained to himself he spots the boy pouting to himself since he only caught four fish "How am I supposed to show my face after all that talk" the child placed a bet that if he could catch 10 fish he could have one of the boats. He usually lost most bets so he wasn't exactly embarrassed by loosing but, he was exceptionally boisterous this time around.
"I will not return until I get those fish" the boy declared loudly until he hears someone struggling behind him and when he turned he saw the bandit trying to steal his basket of fish luckily one of the fishermen's wife taught him to anchor his basket so no one could snatch it easily. While the bandit struggled the boy snuck up on him before tossing the net on top of the man who confidently declared "You're mistaken if you think-" though mid declaration he fell to his knees due to the net. The child then declares "You are mistaken if you think you can escape the net of the great Fujima!"
"Fujima huh well I Hanzo cannot be defeated even if caught in a net since I can still move my hands"
"Oh yea! well take this fish thief" the newly revealed Fujima tries to punch Hanzo who blocks the flurry of windmill punches "Hah you fool you cant beat me I'm just too powerful !!" While Hanzo laughed loudly cause of his superiority. While blinded by his own confidence, Fujima walked between his legs and "Caged" the poor bandit "Hah a victory for Fujima" then the boy start laughing just as loud as the bandit once did
an angered Hanzo grumbles "Why you... ill get you for that!" but when he tried to kick Fujima the net suddenly got heavier "You cant move your legs can you!" laughing again at the realization of Hanzo's vulnerability a cruel smile then forms on Fujima's face but instead of abusing the poor man he negotiates "Chase me back to the village and I will let you have the fish is that fair?"
"Why should I!" Hanzo shouted still furious because of the kick "you seem hungry and!, you aren't in any position to refuse" as Fujima slyly points towards the net as if Hanzo couldn't see it. Hanzo clicks his teeth before thinking to him self "at least I won't have to hurt a kid... Monster or not" he sighs loudly before accepting the oddly "conniving" child's deal "I'll chase you, but the basket stays here!"
"Fine by me" minutes later as they walk toward the village Fujima says "The old men always say I should know my partner so..."
"What?"
"What's your full name."
"Hanzo is all you will get."
"Fair enough, all I have to give is Fujima."
Hanzo stops confused by the "all I have" so he questions the boy.
"Why is that?"
Still walking Fujima explains his situation, surprisingly casual about it.
"I don't exactly know a thing about my parents, all I have is this net and a headache, sometimes.."
"Why didn't you get one of the villagers names?"
"They all raised me together so no one knew whose name I should have."
"Why don't you choose you have a favorite right?"
"Well... yea but," slightly loosening up along with his dialect he explains "I think it's unfair since I kinda owe it to them y'know so I don't think I got any right to choose. I mean I was a nuisance n' all" before Fujima could open up anymore his mind changes. Feeling slightly thankful to Hanzo for listening to him he says "You know, you should go back and take those fish I don't want to drag any part of your name down since you were loyal to the deal and all."
"But the village is just up ahead you don't want to be embarrassed do you?"
"It's fine they aren't going to shun me for failing to catch some fish."
"One of the old men even said 'you aren't a failure till you walk away and never try again' so I haven't lost yet!"
"Very well till we meet again Fujima"
"Bye Hanzo!"
"It's Tensai, I feel you've earned it"
though they were uncertain, they would meet again Fujima would challenge Hanzo to fish and Hanzo would teach Fujima to fight then eventually Fujima would meet Minami. Hanzo's little sister was fierce at first when Fujima was introduced hating him since Hanzo stayed out late because of him. She hated him even more when she heard part of their first time meeting but as the years went by and constant fights happened mostly because of Minami.
"Why cant you just... Shut Up all you do is bother and nag me all day I cant get a break can I?!" on any day like others Fujima shouted at Minami for pestering him while he fished "You could train once in awhile if you are going to help us out!"
"Why would you want me to train, isn't getting you food enough!?"
"I could easily fish for the crew without you!"
"I wouldn't be here if that were-"
"IT IS!"
The two kept bickering till a bell rang through the abandoned temple Hanzo's crew used as a camp. "What was that?" Fujima asked only to spot Minami darting toward the camp within the camp a rival bandit group, twice the size of Hanzo's own, arrived to pillage what they could and remove Hanzo from potential threats. through all the chaos Minami ducked through creeping toward the weapon stash to try and help but she did not go unnoticed in fact a group of six followed her intent on exterminating everyone in the crew. She eventually notices them and instead of fleeing she threw as many weapons as she could before grabbing a club that was strapped poorly with metal "Don't get any closer" she shouted "I will break you in half if you do" but as if they didn't hear her they creep closer and she does hit one of them on the head but the bandits snatched her club and raised their blades ready to strike her down.
