On our way back, I decided to pass by the Healers' Circle for a preliminary visit, just to compare the reception. Their building was simpler but exuded a sense of warmth and humility. Inside, I found people of all ages receiving care—children with scrapes, the elderly with sore joints, and warriors nursing wounds.
A middle-aged healer approached us, his expression welcoming. "How can I help you?"
"I'm interested in joining the Circle," I explained. "My background is a bit unconventional, but I have knowledge in treating injuries and ailments."
He looked intrigued and invited me to sit with him. Over the course of our conversation, I shared a few of my techniques, mentioning that I knew how to create antibiotics for infections—a skill unheard of in this world.
The healer's expression shifted from intrigue to excitement. "If you truly possess this knowledge, you may have much to offer here," he said. "However, we value experience as much as knowledge. If you wish to join, you'll need to demonstrate your skills by assisting in our ward."
I agreed, setting a date to return for an official trial.
