Chapter 1 - Day 0

In a boundless expanse of light, a lone figure stood, surrounded by a surreal, glowing void. His body felt weightless, and he struggled to grasp what had happened.

"Am I… dead?" he murmured, feeling strangely calm in the brightness surrounding him. His last memories were blurry, but he tried to piece them together. "How did I get here?"

Then, as if a sudden spark of clarity had struck him, he chuckled softly. "Oh… right. Jeep-san," he muttered, remembering the vehicle that had barreled into him in his previous life. He'd barely had time to react. "Figures it'd end like that."

As the reality of his situation sank in, he let out a resigned sigh. "So, now what?"

Almost on cue, a dazzling light blazed up before him, filling the space. It was far brighter than everything else around him, radiating a warmth that bordered on overwhelming.

"What the—!" He shielded his eyes, squinting as the light grew even more intense. Just as he was adjusting, a voice echoed from within it—deep, steady, and somewhat amused.

"You're about to be reincarnated," the voice announced.

He blinked, taken aback. "Reincarnated? Really?" His voice held more curiosity than excitement.

The light seemed to pause, as though waiting for him to react. When he simply stood there, nonplussed, the voice sighed. "I was expecting a bit more enthusiasm."

The figure scratched his head, glancing around. "Well… I'm here. So what's next?"

"What's next is reincarnation," the voice clarified with an exasperated patience. "You should be more excited! Most don't get a second chance at life."

"Fair enough," he said with a shrug. "So, what perks come with this reincarnation?"

The light paused, as though surprised by his directness. "You'll be granted three wishes."

A flicker of recognition sparked in his eyes. "Oh, like one of those fanfics I read about… alright, cool." He grinned, clearly intrigued now.

The light sighed again. "Honestly, you could work on your reactions."

"Why bother? It's not like it'll change anything." He chuckled, still strangely at ease.

The light chuckled back, a hint of amusement slipping through its dignified tone. "Very well. I won't push it. Make your wishes, then."

He took a moment to think it over before speaking again. "Wait, where am I going? It might affect my choices."

The light shimmered, seemingly pleased that he was starting to take this seriously. "You'll be going to the world of Black Clover."

"Ah. Alright." He nodded, the calm expression not faltering.

"Really? That's it?" The light sighed. "Just once, try to be a little thrilled?"

He looked down, fidgeting. "Sorry… I'll try." He managed to give the light a half-hearted smile.

"Alright then," the light said, sounding both amused and resigned. "Be aware, if any wish you make is too powerful, I'll need to place 'Restrictions or Changes' on it."

"Understood." He nodded. "Alright, my first wish… I want a grimoire that lets me create any item I can imagine."

The light hummed thoughtfully, then spoke. "That's quite powerful, so here are the restrictions for that wish:

1. Any item you create will exist only as long as you have mana to sustain it.

2. You can't create anything beyond what your mana can handle—no powerful artifacts like Phantasms, Sacred Gears, and the likes.

3. Modern weaponry, like guns or nuclear bombs, is off-limits. However, you can still create objects with similar power or speed within reasonable limits.

4. Lastly, you'll only gain this grimoire upon reaching a Magic Tower."

The figure considered these carefully, nodding slowly. "Alright, fair enough. I accept."

"Oh, one other thing," the light added. "If you didn't ask about your appearance, I was just going to assign you a random one. Hope you don't mind."

"That's… good to know." He chuckled. "Well then, for my second wish, I'd like to look like Ed Rosstaylor and have his skills and traits—things like his archery and dagger skills, craftsmanship, and even his mindset and personality traits."

A/N: I love Ed's Character

"Appearance granted," the light confirmed, "but the skills and traits come with restrictions:

1. You won't be able to summon spirits or use any spirit-related abilities.

2. You're restricted from using Aspect Magic from Ed's original world.

3. You won't gain a his status

"Alright, I can work with that." He smirked, satisfied.

"Now for your final wish?" the light prompted.

"For my last wish, I want to choose the place and time where I'll be reincarnated," he said thoughtfully. "I'd like to start in the Forsaken Realm near the Witch's Forest, five years before Acier Silva's death."

A/N: Acier will not be the FL

"Location approved, but time needs some adjustment," the light responded after a pause. "Instead of starting as an adult, you'll appear as a ten-year-old Ed Rosstaylor."

"Troublesome, but I'll manage," he sighed. "If that's what it takes, I'll accept."

"Don't worry," the light added kindly. "I'll provide you with a small cabin nearby for shelter."

He offered a small, grateful nod. "Thank you for that."

The light seemed to soften, its glow becoming gentler. "Think nothing of it. Besides… here's a little bonus." A radiant panel began to form in front of him, its light merging into his body as it touched his skin.

"What was that?" he asked, feeling a strange but pleasant warmth coursing through him.

"It's a special panel that lets you access items of varying rarity," the light explained, "ranging from common to mythical. Think of it as a gift for your journey."

He raised an eyebrow. "How is this different from my grimoire's abilities?"

"Items from this panel will be permanent, unlike those created through your magic. They won't disappear with your mana and can only be lost if destroyed, overused, or affected by an abnormality."

"Interesting… so, how will I access them?" he asked.

The light's glow intensified momentarily. "You'll gain an item based on how long you survive in this world and you'll also have a counter on how many days you live:

1 day = A common item

10 days = A rare item

100 days = An epic item

1,000 days = A legendary item

10 years = A mythical item

A/N: It won't just be weapons

"This progression should give you ample time to grow."

"Alright, got it. Thank you." He bowed his head slightly, taking it all in. "So… what happens now?"

"Now, it's time for you to go," the light replied, beginning to pulse brighter and brighter as if preparing for his departure.

"Well… thanks for everything," he said with a faint smile.

"Oh, one last thing," the light called out as it began to fade. "What will your new name be?"

"Let's drop the 'Taylor.' Just call me Ed Ross."

The light seemed to beam, as if smiling. "Goodbye, Ed Ross. And good luck."

"Goodbye to you too," Ed said softly. With a final flash, his form dissolved, leaving the endless light behind.

As the light watched him vanish, its voice echoed one last time in the empty space. "Have a good life, Ed," it murmured gently, then faded away, leaving silence behind.
