Chapter 9 - Chapter-9: Hold your limbs!

"Oh fu- shit!!"

Dawud felt nothing from the explosion, but the forces that were forcing him in one direction were overwhelming and frightening at the same time. Dawud was now holding onto it with his both hands. It hadn't even been that long, yet his hands hurt. He thought that his hands would've burned, but no, his hands felt like freezing.

Actually, this was a very cruel way to suppress him. Beforehand, making him think that his hands would've burnt and letting him prepare for it, but then making them hold something ice cold. Thus, the more his hands felt the cold and froze, the more they grew numb. 'NO, I've come this far by deceiving this little piece of— ow!— so cold-!!, I shouldn't let go, not yet!!'

Dawud realised before that, if he had to catch this tiny troller, who knows if it's holy or just a scam, there was no use in throwing a tantrum. This thing could see through him, could sense his true intentions. A human being could never hide his true intentions, so he tried to make it as small snd low as he could. He tried forgetting the thought of getting out of here first, he made himself stop from even getting a heartbeat to catch it.

He came in a deep state of concentration during his walk close to it, that 'this tiny light doesn't even exist, even if it did, I won't catch it, I will never. I won't. I won't. I truly won't.' Such a human, even his thoughts lied. And thus he caught it by simple deceit.

But the tables still seem to have not turn yet. He was yet to witness the both forces going harder on him, the tiny light, which became a huge explosion and blinding everything around him, just grew colder each second.

Massive waves burst out of it, powerful rays of bright and cold light. The bright golden light seemed like it would give anyone the warmth they seek, but it just hit him with bone chillingly cold. What a psychological shock and warfare state he was in. He gritted his teeth, his hands holding onto it tightly, Dawud didn't want to admit it. But he clung to the hope of expecting something good in the return of his struggles. He was human after all, maybe he could return home?

The light blinded his eyes. At first, it looked beautiful, terrifyingly at that. Then it became so bright, nothing about his surroundings could he discerned. Dawud was at complete lost now. Even so, somewhere in his heart, the little racer tried to race to the finish line of the dread. He clung to the little he still had left. This sky like world, it drained him out plenty. He still believed beyond it, he hoped for something beautiful.

The power grew insanely now. The explosion was not some burst of light anymore. It was as if, true power was gushing out of something. The two forces acting against him felt like one now. These forces were totally at his neck, trying to decimate him. He still clung to this one last try, one last hope and held om the light never letting it go.

Dawud felt his limbs getting torn apart, his flesh growing more and more numb. The intensity of the cold streamed flowing through his hands to sl over his body. Several mighty beams of power forming one huge beam were shot everywhere, but it felt like they only hit him.

'I can't really think straight…'

His vision grew weaker, everything slowly got dark.

"NO!! F*cking end already! WAKE UP!!"

Dawud screamed and opened his mouth agap snd clutched his teeth tight. He truly held onto this one last hope. Then in an instant…

The explosion… it stopped? The blinding lights spreading out everywhere, firing its beam at him suddenly slowed down. They slowly reduced. Their remnants slowly withered away. His surroundings were slowly becoming normal, almost as if, the energy it released vanished in thin air.

Dawud, peered down in a low gaze. The cloud land was gone. It was the clear bright blue sky again. Dawud looked around, the clouds were folded away in the farthest distance possible, like blankets. Dawud blinked… 'damn.'. He sighed and looked down, 'Yeah, stuck again.' Dawud was hanging at this point, literally. As the land beneath was gone, he held onto the tiny light he caught. It wouldn't budge, carrying his weight.

'Damn, even though I don't weigh much. It's so strong. No wonder the huge explosion. It's like, it flushed out all of it's power and is still standing. But now… it looks like it's a part of the sky itself…'

Dawud sighed, 'now what? Should I just… No, no no…'

Dawud held onto it tightly, he didn't even try to think about his hand slipping. There was nothing down there, only the endless sky. Who knows in which abyss he will be falling forever if he ever let's go.

And then, a binding light started shining.

Dawud didn't care to look away anymore.

He forcibly looked into it.

Slowly, the light shrank.

It got closer to Dawud, Dawud tilted his head back.

It shot inside Dawud's forehead, Dawud felt pain now.

"Ahhhh-!"
