Chapter 139: Rich Rewards After Clearing the Trial!
As Su Yu's sword, [Mourning of Fungus], brushed against Tina, the frost energy within it surged from the blade into her body, instantly revitalizing her. Tina's health climbed back up to a safe 33%!
In moments, she was back on her feet, her eyes alive with determination. "Thank you, Nemesis. Leave the rest to me!"
Flashing a confident smile, Tina tossed the sword back to Su Yu, raised her own blade, and charged at the boss. A golden light shimmered along her sword's edge as she advanced.
With no [Energy Pulse] left in the boss's arsenal and Tina's health now at a solid level, she fought fiercely. After a grueling battle, she delivered the final blow, and the boss's health dropped to zero.
They had cleared the advanced trial dungeon!
"Ding! [The Holy Maiden of Oran City (6/100)] quest completed. Generating reward evaluation..."
"Your reward rating: S. As a territory-owning player, you receive the following: EXP x2000, [Ice Barrier (Epic)] skill scroll, and [Fortress] architectural blueprint."
For players with territory, completing high-rated quests like this sometimes yields valuable architectural blueprints. The higher the rating, the greater the quality and likelihood of these blueprints appearing.
This time, Su Yu received the [Fortress] blueprint—a coveted "small city defense artifact" among players. Once built at the main entrance of his territory, the fortress would serve as a key defense point against monster hordes or bandit invasions, housing soldiers ready to repel attacks.
Of course, Su Yu's territory, called "Apuxi," could use this fortress for some city defense. He mused that if he made a movie titled "Shanghai Fortress," it might even draw in some crowd.
As for the [Ice Barrier (Epic)] scroll, it was a signature mage skill.
---
**[Ice Barrier]**
- **Epic Quality**
- Envelops you in an icy barrier, preventing all physical and magical damage for 10 seconds. However, during this period, you are unable to attack, move, or cast spells.
- Cooldown: 5 minutes. Mana Cost: 200 points.
- **Limitation:** Cannot cast again within 30 seconds and induces a chill effect.
Known as the "Refrigerator," [Ice Barrier] was one of the most essential mage skills. Upon activation, it granted immunity to all damage, essentially a 10-second invincibility. Su Yu realized that if he had known this skill earlier, he could have used it to block the boss's deadly [Nullness Ball] attack.
Having ample offensive power, Su Yu lacked robust survival skills, so he felt this scroll would be indispensable.
---
Once the quest ended, Su Yu learned [Ice Barrier] immediately, and for 600,000 psionic coins, he upgraded it to legendary quality.
With this enhancement, [Ice Barrier] gained new attributes. Now, Su Yu could activate it under any circumstance—even while immobilized. Additionally, it removed any control debuffs upon activation. When Su Yu tested it, he felt an instant release from [Void Imprisonment], his body encased in a formidable layer of ice that blocked all damage for a solid 15 seconds—50% longer than the epic version.
It was a powerful, life-saving tool, right up there with his [Blink Technique].
---
As the [Void Walker Kassadin] fell, Tina sat down, absorbing the lingering energy left by the boss. Her aura intensified, glowing with a golden hue as her foundation strengthened.
Moments later, her golden aura flared up, radiating with renewed strength as her level advanced.
With a simple [Insight] spell, Su Yu checked her stats.
**Character:** [Tina Garcia]
**Level:** 53 (Third Tier)
**Class:** Warrior, Knight
**Hobbies:** Sweets, cats, admiring new clothes her "nemesis" buys.
Tina had successfully reached a new tier. "If only my level could rise as fast," Su Yu thought enviously.
---
After two hours in the trial's secret realm, nearly all the instructors had departed, leaving only Legion Commander Gracie and Instructor Margaret behind.
"Commander, you really don't need to stay. I can keep watch here," Margaret offered, slightly embarrassed.
Gracie sighed. "Alright, but if Tina returns, let me know immediately." Just as she turned to leave, the portal of the advanced secret realm glowed blue.
From the portal emerged a beautiful girl clad in golden armor.
"Tina! You're finally back!" Margaret shouted, rushing to hug her in relief. Tina's return meant Margaret's job security for another year.
"Instructor Margaret?" Tina was surprised but smiled as she noticed Gracie nearby. "Commander, you came too?"
Gracie's expression softened as she observed the newly empowered Tina. She had a lot to say, but settled on, "Oh, I was just passing by."
"Ah, I see," Tina nodded, then glanced back at Su Yu, who had emerged from the portal. "Lord Instructor, Commander, it's thanks to Nemesis that I cleared the advanced realm. Without him, I might not have made it out alive!"
Su Yu quickly interjected, "As a knight's attendant, it's my duty to assist. Whatever a knight commands, a squire must follow."
Margaret, however, wasn't as pleased, giving him a critical look. "A proper squire wouldn't lead their knight into such danger."
Gracie also cast a wary glance at Su Yu. Her eyes narrowed slightly, and she leaned in to advise Tina, "Remember, don't be blinded by money."
She knew about the millions Nemesis had accumulated from selling [Navi Black Gold] and assumed his wealth had led him to seek a position close to Tina. She worried that he might corrupt her with his riches.
Tina blinked in confusion. "Blinded by money?" She had no idea what Gracie meant.
Gracie, however, moved on. "Now that you've passed the trial, pack up and report to the barracks tomorrow. The Unicorn Knights will hold a ceremony in your honor at headquarters!"
At the same time, Su Yu received a notification:
"Ding! Main storyline updated: [The Holy Maiden of Oran City (7/100)]."
**Objective:** Witness Tina's induction into the [Unicorn Knights].
**Reward:** 1000 EXP.
