**Chapter 103: A Disguise to Approach the Target, Morningstar Takes Down Siman**

An hour and a half later, Su Yu returned home, feeling a bit unsatisfied.

He hadn't found any trace of ghosts at Yulin Middle School. The male teacher Xue Wenli mentioned seemed to have died from an accident, not a supernatural cause. But he didn't give up—he visited a few other locations she'd recommended.

In an old residential building and later in the elevator of a high-end office complex, Su Yu encountered and dealt with a few low-level black ghosts, gaining 350 experience points. Though it was a small gain for him, he found comfort in knowing he'd helped protect a few lives.

After showering and clearing his mind, Su Yu logged back into the game.

Having been offline for two hours, the game was still set at night.

Upon logging in, Su Yu looked around cautiously.

Thankfully, the vampire wasn't nearby. He exhaled in relief.

However, he decided it was too risky to continue straight to Green Valley Street. Based on his instincts, he suspected that the vampire, Siman, was likely lying in wait near 213 Green Valley Street.

If he went there now, he'd be walking into a trap.

"I need a new approach. There's a skilled disguiser in Maple Leaf City…" Su Yu's thoughts quickly formulated a plan.

He mounted Tima and, guided by city guards, rode to the residence of Master Yi Rong, the famous disguiser in the city.

As dawn approached, Su Yu's preparations were complete. Across the street from 213 Green Valley, the vampire Siman was still lying in ambush, his patience unwavering.

According to reliable intelligence, the princess would soon deliver important news to Colin Filler, the resident of this house. Siman's mission was clear—intercept the message.

His earlier chance to catch Su Yu had slipped away, and the frustration still simmered.

"This time, there'll be no escape," Siman muttered to himself with a twisted grin. "I'll imprison your soul and make you suffer."

Just then, a knight in silver armor rode down the street, his lance in hand, yelling commands to his horse in a rebellious tone.

The big brown horse beneath him snorted loudly, adding to the scene. The early morning street was quiet, making this knight's presence all the more noticeable.

Siman glanced at the knight, dismissing him. He assumed he was just some passing show-off.

He turned his attention back to the task at hand, focused solely on spotting the first-order magician.

But a moment later, something felt off. His gaze snapped back toward the knight.

The knight was now advancing toward the house, and, just as Siman realized the deception, he watched in shock as the knight tossed his sword to the ground and leapt off the horse. With two swift strides, the knight reached the doorstep of 213 Green Valley.

"Clever," Siman hissed, his eyes widening. He transformed into a streak of blood-red light and shot toward the knight.

But it was already too late. Su Yu, the knight in disguise, had smashed through the door and disappeared inside.

Su Yu had done his homework this time. He'd not only bought a full set of knight's armor and a big brown horse but had also enlisted the top disguiser in Maple Leaf City. Master Yi Rong had skillfully altered his appearance, body shape, scent, and even his aura. Confident in the disguise, Su Yu had gambled on fooling Siman—and it had worked.

Inside, a man sat in the main hall, visibly anxious as he waited for someone.

Activating [Insight], Su Yu quickly scanned his information.

**Character**: Colin Filler

**Level**: 58 (Level 3)

**Occupation**: Summoner

**Hobbies**: Collecting portraits of Queen Elize

This was the person the princess wanted him to contact.

Su Yu took out the princess's letter from his backpack and extended it to him.

Recognizing the Gorse Empire seal on the letter, Colin Filler didn't need further proof. He glanced at Su Yu and handed him a sealed letter in return.

"Take this to the princess," he said urgently, his face filled with tension. "My cover's been blown. You have to get out of here before it's too late."

Suddenly, a heavy thud echoed from the doorway as Siman attempted to break through.

Colin reacted instantly. He waved his staff, summoning a massive brown bear, which blocked the entrance with a fierce roar.

"Go! I'll hold him off!" Colin yelled.

Without hesitation, Su Yu equipped his double-speed leather armor and dashed through the house's back exit.

Outside, he quickly summoned Tima and rode at full speed toward the princess's residence.

Sensing something, Tima snorted with irritation. She could smell traces of another horse on Su Yu, but she pushed aside her feelings, sensing his urgency.

As they galloped down the road, Su Yu stole a glance back to ensure they weren't being followed.

For a while, there was no sign of pursuit. Just as he felt a bit of relief, he spotted a faint blood-red streak in the distance.

Siman was closing in fast.

With only about 300 meters left to the princess's residence, Su Yu sprang off Tima's back in one fluid motion, returning her to his inventory mid-air. After landing, he equipped the [Village Chief's Staff] and immediately activated his three-stage [Blink] skill, covering a distance of 45 meters in a flash.

Each jump took a toll, but there was no time to pause.

He ran with all his might, hoping to reach the gates of the princess's residence before Siman closed in.

The vampire was relentless, narrowing the gap at a terrifying speed.

**340 meters.**

**220 meters.**

**100 meters.**

Siman's sinister smile crept onto his face as he closed in, certain that he would catch his prey.

Just as he prepared to reach out, the sky above the princess's residence erupted in radiant starlight.

A colossal dragon with a wingspan of over 100 meters materialized, glowing with cosmic brilliance and appearing like a celestial guardian.

This dragon, radiating starry light, turned its gaze to Siman.

Before the vampire could react, the dragon exhaled a breath of concentrated starlight, a destructive force honing in on him.

Siman tried to dodge, but the starlight followed, crashing into him with devastating accuracy.

An explosion of blinding light washed over the street, vaporizing the vampire in its wake.

Su Yu stopped, watching the aftermath in disbelief.

"A fourth-order vampire… defeated just like that?"

The dragon slowly descended, shrinking until it took the form of a familiar creature—a cat.

It was Morningstar.

"Nemesis, you alright?" the cat asked, jumping onto his shoulder with a tilted head.

"Yeah… just a bit worn out." Su Yu managed, catching his breath. His recent sprint had drained him physically and mentally.

"Oh, don't be such a wimp," Morningstar teased. "Hop on. I'll take you inside."

With a sparkle, Morningstar transformed into a luminous elk, its fur shimmering with stardust.

Su Yu grinned, mounting her without a second thought.

Morningstar's eyes widened in surprise.
