**Chapter 85: [Quest Agent Publishing Authority]**
"Adventurers from another world?" Princess Elize frowned slightly. "Aren't you all usually Tier 0? What difference does that make?"
"They have their uses. The biggest advantage we have as otherworldly adventurers is that there are many of us, and we're not afraid to die." Su Yu lifted his teacup, smiling. "Imagine the potential of a thousand people, unafraid of death, all driven to achieve the same goal."
The princess blinked, taken aback. "A thousand? Warriors who aren't afraid of death could be very powerful in battle. But recruiting that many… it would cost a fortune. Right now, the empire's finances are stretched thin. There might not be enough funds."
The princess's perspective was firmly rooted in her world. She didn't realize that players needed only the faintest incentives to follow Su Yu's lead.
Setting down his teacup, Su Yu rose and offered the princess a respectful bow. "Money doesn't have to be an issue, Your Highness. I'll cover all the expenses to recruit them. You won't have to pay a single coin! But there is one condition."
"A condition?"
"Yes. You need to trust me and entrust me with full authority to handle this."
The princess hesitated, glancing at the blue-and-white kitten in her arms. She couldn't fully understand why Su Yu would do this. Could it be a scheme to bring more adventurers to her side out of a sense of duty to his own people? But… it seemed to come at no cost to her. What was he really after?
The kitten, able to understand their conversation, gave the princess a reassuring nod. Seeing the kitten's confidence, the princess exhaled, her decision made. "Alright, Nemesis. I trust you. Handle this matter as you see fit, and I expect you to provide a satisfactory outcome."
"Thank you, Your Highness!" Su Yu replied, bowing respectfully.
"Ding! You have gained the trust of [Princess Elize]. Congratulations! You now possess the [Quest Agent Publishing Authority] on behalf of the princess."
**[Quest Agent Publishing Authority]:** You are now authorized to release quests on behalf of this NPC. When players complete these quests, you will receive experience and 1% of the psionic currency as a reward. (Note: All quests must be pre-approved by the NPC.)
Su Yu's lips curled into a slight smile. "I didn't expect to gain such a privilege so easily!"
Most players viewed quests as fixed tasks given by NPCs, to be accepted and completed for rewards. But *Evolution* was no ordinary game—it was full of surprises and limitless possibilities.
In this world, players could even delegate quests to other players on behalf of NPCs!
This hidden feature wasn't discovered until the game's fifth expansion. Initially, it didn't cause much of a stir. Gaining an NPC's trust was difficult, and not all quests were worth the effort. Ordinary NPCs offered limited rewards. Yet, top-tier NPCs like [Princess Elize] were a different story.
High-ranking NPCs could issue large-scale quests involving hundreds or thousands of players, providing a great opportunity for those able to manage them.
Su Yu, turning to the princess, gave her a confident nod. "Your Highness, I'll take my leave now. In one week, I'll personally escort you to Maple Leaf City."
"Thank you for your efforts." Princess Elize rose from her seat and nodded to her guard. "Kelderon, please see Nemesis out."
"As you command!" Kelderon knelt and accepted her order.

After Su Yu left, Princess Elize sank back into her chair, looking thoughtfully at the blue-and-white kitten in her lap. "Morning Star, do you understand why he's doing this? I can't make any sense of it."
"I can't say I understand it entirely either," replied a melodic, feminine voice from the kitten's mouth. "But don't worry; I can tell he means no harm. And even if he did, he's just a first-tier mage—hardly a real threat."
"Let's hope you're right."
The princess gazed after Su Yu, lost in thought. Morning Star, the blue-and-white kitten, also watched Su Yu's departing figure with curiosity. What an intriguing human he was!
---
Stepping outside the palace, Su Yu opened his task panel. A new module, **[Delegated Task Release]**, had appeared.
He clicked into it, finding that he currently had the authority to issue only one task on the princess's behalf: **[Ambush at Giantwood Canyon].**
*Giantwood Canyon* was the spot where Princess Elize's journey to Maple Leaf City would face danger. In the storyline, the rebel leader Duke [Anzu Cypher] agreed to negotiate with the princess, but not all rebels supported the peace talks. A faction led by Duke [Lantilus] planned to end negotiations through violence, sending disguised bandits to ambush the princess's convoy.
Thus began the [Ambush at Giantwood Canyon].
Su Yu reviewed the quest details.
**[Ambush at Giantwood Canyon]**
- *Participation Limit*: Up to 1,000 players.
- *Reward for Each Player*: 1,000 experience points, 30 psionic coins, and one random level 10 green equipment item matching their class.
The quest was expected to take about half an hour, and the rewards were generous.
On the task panel, Su Yu noticed options to adjust the reward values. Although he could tweak one aspect of the rewards, the total reward value had to remain constant.
For example, if he removed the "level 10 green equipment" reward, the experience points would automatically increase from 1,000 to 2,000, and the psionic coins would double from 30 to 60.
Su Yu had promised the princess he would cover the costs for this battle. If he left the reward structure as-is, he'd be responsible for the 60,000 psionic coins needed to pay the participants.
But he had no intention of being so generous.
Clicking the "-" sign next to the psionic coins, he reduced the reward to the minimum: 10 coins per participant.
By lowering the psionic reward, he was able to further increase the experience reward. In the end, the quest rewards stood at 3,000 experience points and 10 psionic coins.
If Su Yu recruited 1,000 players for this quest, his 1% reward share would yield a hefty 30,000 experience points, enough for him to level up again!
The loss of 9,900 psionic coins to fund the quest was hardly an issue for someone as well-off as Su Yu.
"Alright, the quest is set. I hope players level up quickly enough. It'd be a shame if there aren't 1,000 qualified players before we kick this off."
A grin crossed his face as an idea formed. "I should publicize this, get everyone motivated to reach the level requirement."
With that, Su Yu turned and headed toward the level 15 dungeon, **[Spider Cave]**, outside Plantagenet City. He planned to clear another instance and announce the mission to all players with a "world broadcast."
