Chapter 53 - Chapter 53 [Amumu’s Death] Copy

### Chapter 53 [Amumu's Death] Copy

During the battle, Amumu kept attacking the Desert Emperor, but his damage was barely noticeable, dealing only -5 and -8 per hit.

As the Desert Emperor's HP dropped to 30%, the battle transitioned to its second stage. In this phase, all the sand soldiers on the battlefield vanished in an instant, and the Desert Emperor's form exploded into ten golden lights. These lights arced gracefully across the ground, transforming into ten large golden roosters.

Among the ten roosters, one was the real Desert Emperor, while the remaining nine were mere phantoms. The roosters stood scattered, pecking leisurely at the yellow sand, slowly recovering 1% of their health every second.

To succeed, the players needed to identify the true boss from the illusions and defeat him. If they mistakenly targeted a phantom, the boss's HP would fully restore, forcing them to fight again.

The ten roosters looked nearly identical, but the real one had slight details that set it apart. Su Yu excelled at spotting these differences. With keen eyes, he quickly identified the boss's body among the flock—a rooster adorned with black spots on its cockscomb.

Unleashing a series of high-damage single-target spells, Su Yu swiftly reduced the boss's HP to zero, allowing a golden heroic spirit to claim the Desert Emperor's soul. Left behind was a golden treasure chest—a sign of victory!

Upon opening the chest, Su Yu discovered a staff, which turned out to be a blue rare quality staff!

**Desert Emperor's Scepter (lv10, Rare)**

- Spell Power: +30

- Intelligence: +10

- Feature: When attacking or casting a spell, there is a 5% chance to summon a [Yellow Sand Soldier] to fight for you.

"This is a rare staff!" Su Yu exclaimed, eyes gleaming with excitement.

In the game, monsters below level 10 could only drop excellent level equipment, while those from level 10 to 29 could yield rare items. To his surprise, the first level 10 boss he defeated rewarded him with such an exceptional piece of equipment!

Su Yu immediately equipped the staff and chose to upgrade it to epic quality.

"Ding! Please select the strengthening direction for [Desert Emperor's Scepter]: 1. Spell Power +10; 2. Feature trigger probability increased to 15%."

After a moment of thought, he decided that summoning [Yellow Sand Soldiers] would not be beneficial, so he opted for the first choice, adding +10 to his spell power.

With the new staff equipped, his spell power rose by 23 points to a total of 89, significantly increasing his damage output!

At that moment, Amumu approached the spot where the Desert Emperor had been taken by the heroic spirit, murmuring, "Annie, did you see it? I defeated the Desert Emperor Azir. I have the ability to protect you now! Will you be with me?"

"Dream on!" A red figure suddenly appeared atop the pyramid—it was Annie!

"Looking at how poor, ugly, and short you are, I won't be with you even if I die!" Annie declared cruelly.

"What—?" Amumu roared in despair, and as his cry echoed, the desert scene filled with yellow sand exploded, ushering the dungeon into the next stage.

The second stage was set in a dark, foreboding forest.

"Annie, don't leave me! You must be testing me, right?" Amumu pleaded, tears streaming down his face. "You are my whole world; how can I live without you?" [SIMP🤭]

Kneeling on the ground in the dark forest, Amumu cried heart-wrenchingly.

After a moment, he slowly rose, determination in his eyes. "No! Annie must be ahead! Adventurer, will you follow me to find her?"

"Of course," Su Yu replied, spreading his arms.

The second stage of the dungeon unfolded within the dark forest. With Amumu's spirit crushed, the enemies faced now were grotesque tentacles with eyes and some horrifying, indescribable creatures—a nod to Cthulhu.

Clearing the monsters in their path, Su Yu and Amumu finally arrived at the second boss.

This boss was none other than **Annie and Tibbers**.

In this battle, both Annie and her bear Tibbers would attack the players simultaneously. Annie retained her classic skills: **[Cracked Fire]**, **[Incineration]**, and **[Lava Shield]**.

However, the challenge was that players could not inflict any damage on Annie while defeating Tibbers. If any player inadvertently harmed Annie, Amumu would unleash his ultimate move, **[Mummy Curse]**, dealing a devastating "-9999" damage to all players.

Annie was fully aware of this mechanic and would often position herself near remote attackers and Tibbers, deliberately tempting players to strike her.

Fortunately, Su Yu's **[Magic Bullet]** had received an upgrade. Thanks to the new feature allowing it to "guide in a small area," Su Yu skillfully maneuvered around Annie and targeted Tibbers instead.

Once Tibbers fell, Annie glared coldly at Amumu. "Just give up! I like Bandle City's swift scout 'Teemo'—he's much more handsome than you!"

"What—?" Amumu cried out in despair once again, as the dark forest scene cracked and shifted.

The dungeon transitioned to the third scene: the sunny city of Bandle.

Amumu crawled on the ground, crying, "Annie, I will definitely find you. But before that! Teemo must die!"

His eyes sparkled with fury. "Adventurer, will you accompany me to Bandle City and destroy Teemo?"

"As you wish," Su Yu replied, arms spread wide.

They pressed on along the only path in the dungeon, dispatching mobs with ease.

Eventually, they arrived at a sprawling lawn, where the final boss of the dungeon awaited—**Swift Scout Teemo**.

Now Su Yu prepared for the challenge ahead.

Teemo was a formidable boss, and even with his current strength, defeating him would be no easy feat.

At the start of the boss battle, the expansive lawn would be divided into a grid of 16 by 30, totaling 480 squares, 99 of which were booby-trapped with Teemo's mushrooms.

As players stepped onto a square, if a mushroom was nearby, the square would display the number "1"; if there were two, it would show "2", and so forth. If there were no mushrooms nearby, the grid would continue to show other squares until a numbered one appeared.

Stepping on a mushroom-laden grid would result in instant defeat for all players.

The objective was to uncover all grids within 10 minutes without triggering any mushrooms to successfully clear the dungeon.

This gameplay echoed the classic game—**Minesweeper**.

However, this version was more complex.

While players attempted to navigate the grids, they would also face attacks from Teemo, who would shoot arrows to blind them, obscuring their vision of the surrounding numbers, forcing them to remain stationary.

Additionally, Teemo would frequently relocate the mushrooms, adding a layer of complexity that tested players' memories.

For Su Yu, this boss posed a significant challenge.

Originally designed for a five-player team, he now faced it alone, making the task five times more difficult!

Yet, with no choice but to press on, Su Yu steeled himself for the challenge ahead.
