Chapter 2 - The first encounter and adventure

As I walked through the forest, I saw a gelatinous blue life form similar to slime you would find in any good RPG. I looked at it for a while, wondering if it was my friend or my enemy. I poked at it with a stick, and it didn't react with any hostility, and the stick was still in one piece, so I decided that I would make this slime my new friend. I started walking closer to it. I reached out my hand, and surprisingly it climbed onto my hand. It felt soft and warm, but it wasn't as slimy as I expected it to be. But holding it calmed my nerves, so I grabbed it and took it home. I decided to name the slime Rimuru. Next, I needed to figure out what Rimuru ate. I looked around and tried different foods, but it seemed like Rimuru preferred plastic and paper, which I saw as unusual, but despite that, Rimuru was still cute and now it was also useful. As I sat on the couch, I started thinking and came to the conclusion that there had to be other monsters in this world too, such as goblins, which was a bit worrying because I have no fighting experience but at the very least I had the sword my grandfather gave me I have been using it as a wall decoration. Then I also might need to start growing my own food luck. I have some gardening tools in the garage attached to my house which is a relief.

So I just needed to make a field to plant crops in so I could get food. I grabbed the katana on the wall, put it in my belt and made my way to the garage. As soon as I arrived at the garage door I remembered it had been a while since I had entered the garage so there would be a lot of dirt so I opened it as slowly because I didn't want to get dust blowing everywhere but to my surprise there wasn't even a speck of dust as though moving to this world cleaned my whole house. I grabbed my gardening tools and started making a garden and a fence to protect my crops although I doubt it would be of much help against the creatures of this forest. Rimuru helped with watering the plants, it seems that he is good at carrying water with his jelly like body. Thanks to Rimurus' help I was able to finish all the work and water the plants in one day. It was fun but I needed to stay vigilant because I might run into a wild animal or a monster like that goblin from earlier. Just to explain how that crude green skinned creature looked would make my skin crawl. compared to my smooth black hair that just touches my shoulders the goblin only had like 4 gray hairs sticking out of its head and it had yellow teeth or at least what was left of the teeth were yellow but let's hope we don't meet another one, they are easy enough to get rid of but they are extremely ugly. As I was thinking about the dangers that were in this forest, I heard a sound coming from inside the house so I drew my sword to defend myself to realize that is was only Rimuru when i entered the house but then I remembered that Rimuru was working in the fields and was a darker blue meaning that i had run into yet another slime, and for some reason this slime also seemed to want to be friends with me which I thought was slightly strange. A thought crossed my mind: do slimes in this world just act friendly with anyone they see. So in the end I decided I would also take this slime in as a friend. It was a reasonable idea on my part but when I went to show Rimuru it seemed jealous as if I belonged to it and wasn't allowed to bring random slimes home. We waited a bit for Rimaru to calm down and then I decided to name the new slime Dia. The new slime seemed happy with its name and was jumping with joy.

After naming Dia I called Rimuru over and it climbed to my shoulder. Rimuru was on the left shoulder and Dia was on my right shoulder. We started walking towards the forest getting ready for a new adventure. I step into the forest leaving the clearing for the second time since i made it to this world and I was about to explore the forest to see if I could find any food or people but when i got about a kilometer from my house a holographic screen appeared in front of me asking if i would like to use the relocation function with the description saying that it wall move the clearing of land my house was on into a inventory that could be moved anywhere. I looked at the screen for a bit contemplating but in the end I decided to press the store button and continued walking through the forest The first two kilometers were calm with little worry but just as I started relaxing a group of about 10 goblins appeared I drew my sword and started swinging it at the goblins it was a tough battle the goblin where smarter than the first one I had run into, they blocked my swings with there old iron daggers and even tried a pincer attack i got a cut on my forearm and a bruise where i had been ramed on my side luckily the injuries weren't too bad and I had brought my first aid kit, but before I could dress my wound Dia covered the cut with its body and I felt a warm sensation. When I checked my cut it had healed. It seems Dia has a healing ability. I thanked Dia and continued on my trip and came upon a clearing after another 10 km. It was a flower field that I couldn't even imagine seeing in my original world. It was a lovely sight.
