As for inspiration, this web novel is mostly influenced by The Beginning After the End. It's not the best novel I've ever read (I'd never disrespect Solo Leveling like that!). With Solo Leveling, I could see every scene like it was a movie; it blew my mind. Both novels are like that.

Just to be clear, I'm not the best at writing in first person. Honestly, the only first-person anime-style novel I enjoyed was The Beginning After the End, so I'm really sorry if things feel similar here.

Lastly, as just a regular person, I really recommend Michael Vey: Prisoner of Cell 25 to anyone who loves sci-fi or superpower stories. It's one of the best books I've ever read. It's in first person too, but it feels different from anime-style novels—it's real. And it's by Richard Paul Evans.
