Chapter 9 - Am I... crazy?

Alec's voice rang out, and Negut looked outside, and saw Selvia walking towards the classroom.

"Wow!" Negut mumbled, "The script begins, the male lead and female lead meet, their feelings develop rapidly, and countless dramas explode."

He shrugged, feeling that this had nothing to do with him, and quickly moved aside to leave.

"Hm?!" Negut stopped because it seemed someone had just grabbed his sleeve.

He turned around and saw that Selvia had grabbed his sleeve without him even noticing.

Selvia tilted her head and asked, "Where are you going?"

"Ack!" Negut was startled, looking at Selvia in confusion, "You... I... I'm going home."

"Negut!" At this moment, Alec shouted angrily, "What the hell are you doing?"

He rushed over, reaching out as if to pull Selvia towards him. However, his hand grasped at empty air because Selvia quickly dodged his hand.

Alec felt embarrassed but he still looked at Negut with hostility: "Negut! You just promised me that you wouldn't bother her anymore, so what the hell are you doing now?"

"Let her go!"

Negut: "..."

He really felt that Alec's eyes had a problem.

"Look carefully again," Negut said tiredly. "She is holding my sleeve, not the other way around."

"You..." Alec gritted his teeth.

In Alec's mind, Selvia was like an angel, untouched by any dust of the world, and no one could taint her.

Yet... at this moment, she was touching Negut. No, to be precise, she was holding Negut's sleeve.

Alec was furious; the first person she actively held onto was Negut, the person he hated the most.

'Could it be... Negut has successfully pursued Selvia? Why is she being so proactive? Why did she avoid my hand?'

While Alec was doubting, an invisible energy suddenly enveloped his body.

His thoughts immediately changed: 'No! Definitely not. How could Selvia accept someone like Alec?'

'That bastard Negut must have used his power to force Selvia to do this.'

'Damn it! I should have killed him earlier; I can't let him get close to Selvia.'

'Selvia is mine! Mine! Mine!'

[Ding! The time until your 'Death Event' has been reduced to only 12 days.]

Negut: "..."

'Oy! Are you really the male lead? She just grabbed my sleeve and you want to kill me.'

'Where is the fairness? Where is the humanity?'

Negut really wanted to cry; he wanted to immediately push Selvia's hand away, but he suddenly remembered one thing... she wouldn't touch any man, nor could any man touch her.

The male lead must be the first to touch her; he couldn't break that setup. Otherwise, he feared his remaining time would become zero.

Negut took a deep breath and sincerely pleaded, "Selvia, could you please let go of me? Look at Alec's eyes; he wants to kill me; he really will kill me."

"Please! I promised I would never bother you again; don't use this way to torture me, okay?"

Selvia tilted her head, her eyes sparkling and full of innocence like a pitiful rabbit, "I just want to talk to you for a bit."

Negut winced because he could feel Alec's murderous intent growing immensely right after Selvia said that.

'You're the heroine; why are you talking privately with a villain like me?'

'Please, the protagonist is standing over there; why are you talking to me? Talk to him; don't pay attention to me.'

Negut cursed inwardly. He didn't understand what there was to talk about between him and Selvia, but he knew one thing: if he agreed, he might be dead by tomorrow.

"Hahaha..." Negut forced a laugh, "Selvia, you've got the wrong person."

In a moment of distraction, he touched Selvia's hand and pushed it away.

Selvia was startled, and she just stared at him. But he was oblivious to this, and he softly said, "Alec is over there; talk to him."

"Don't worry, I truly wish you and him eternal happiness; may you get married soon and have many children."

"I definitely won't disturb you two. Bye bye!"

After saying that, Negut ran away, not giving Selvia or Alec a chance to stop him.

Seeing Negut's figure disappear at the hallway corner, Selvia stood still, her eyes still staring in that direction, lost in thought.

"Selvia..." Alec hurried to her side, using a warm voice to reassure her, "Are you okay?"

"He used his power to force you to do this, right? Don't worry, I will definitely protect you; I won't let you suffer."

As Alec spoke, he reached out as if to hold Selvia's hand.

However, she seemed to read Alec's mind. Just as he reached out, she stepped back, maintaining a safe distance from him.

"Ack!" Alec was startled, his hand stopping mid-air, embarrassed, "Sorry, I forgot you don't like men touching you."

Although he said that, no one could know what he was really thinking.

"It's okay... I just wanted to talk to Negut for a bit," Selvia said, her voice devoid of any emotion. "He didn't force me to do anything, so don't misunderstand him."

Hearing Selvia defend Negut made Alec even angrier. Suddenly, countless evil thoughts appeared in his mind, to the point where he even wanted to add her to the list of people he needed to kill.

Suddenly, an invisible energy flew out of Alec's body and then flew far away.

Alec became more clear-headed and thought, 'No, maybe Selvia is lying. Yes, she's afraid that there are many people here who will hear about this and report it to Negut.'

'That's definitely why she said these things.'

'Damn you, Negut! I won't let you go; I will make you regret existing in this world.'

'I will show you... the punishment for threatening my woman is terrifying.'

'Selvia, don't worry; I will protect you, make you my woman, and we will be together forever.'

Selvia suddenly frowned, looking at Alec with a bit of discomfort in her eyes.

Alec, of course, didn't realise what Selvia's eyes were conveying. He just smiled confidently and said, "Selvia, if I can beat him once, I can beat him a second time."

"I don't believe he can cover the sky with one hand. Even though he's the son of the governor, trust me, one day I will surpass him."

Selvia, feeling disheartened, turned and left without saying a word of farewell.

Seeing this, Alec sighed, 'Maybe she's worried about me. After all, there are too many people here, and she's concerned that if she talks to me too much, Negut will get angry and continue to cause trouble for me.'

'Selvia, thank you for protecting me. But don't worry; with my hidden talent, I won't remain a fish in the pond forever.'

'I will become a dragon, soaring in the sky. Then you will be my woman.'

"Negut!" Alec muttered through gritted teeth, "Just wait a little longer; you won't be able to laugh anymore."

"I swear... I will definitely kill you and make sure you die a miserable death. Not just you, but your entire family will die miserably as well."

If Negut knew Alec's thoughts, he wouldn't find them strange.

The protagonist is petty, selfish, and has a heart as small as a pea.

If you provoke him, he will kill you and even your entire family. Even the dog you raise won't be able to live.

Especially those who dare to compete with him for the heroine will die the most miserable and painful deaths.

Alec turned to look at Grove, who was hiding behind the door, and quickly walked up to him.

Seeing Alec's eyes full of murderous intent, Grove was startled, "What... what do you want to do?"

"How much money do you have left? I want to borrow more," Alec said.

"You... I... I don't have much left, just enough to cover my living expenses," Grove stammered.

"Give it to me!" Alec's attitude immediately changed from pleading to commanding, "I will pay you back soon."

"This..."

"Hm?!"

Grove was about to say something, but seeing Alec's eyes full of murderous intent, he was so scared that his legs trembled and he immediately gave Alec another 500 credit points.

"Very good!" Alec nodded as he saw that his account had more than 800 credit points. Although this amount was still not enough for him to carry out his plan, it was much better than before.

'At least now I have enough to take a risk,' Alec thought.

He immediately left without even saying a word of thanks. Grove felt extremely uncomfortable watching him leave.

Looking at the account balance with less than 200 credit points left, he cursed inwardly, "Damn it! Why do I always lend him money without needing him to pay it back like this?"

"Am I... crazy?"
