Tsunade fell into deep thought after listening to Reiki. She couldn't deny the truth in his words. Reflecting on her progress, she realized just how much she had improved recently.
Her physical strength had increased, thanks to the advanced body-strengthening potions she used daily. Even though she wasn't young anymore, the potions still worked wonders.
Her natural talent had also evolved. After using the origin potion, she passed the trial of the Sage Region and mastered Sage Mode, further enhancing her abilities.
These advancements weren't unique to her. She began to notice that many others in Konoha had experienced similar growth.
"Reiki, are you planning to join this raid?" Tsunade finally asked.
"Of course! With Madara-sama, Orochimaru-sama, Jiraiya-sama, and Uncle Sakumo involved, their attacks might not be...light," Reiki joked. "You'll need a skilled medical ninja like me to patch everyone up!"
Tsunade chuckled. "Alright. I'll let you know when it's time."
As she left, Shizune approached with a smile. "Brother Reiki, are you really going out to fight?"
"Yes," Reiki replied. "Want to come along?"
Shizune's eyes lit up. "Can I? Really?"
Before she could continue, another voice joined in. "Me too! I want to go!" Yuhi Kurenai appeared, excitement written all over her face.
Reiki raised an eyebrow. "Kurenai, you're a Genin too, but you'd better ask your father, Yuhi Mahong."
Kurenai grinned. "He already agreed! He said if it's with you, it's fine. Plus, he's my Jonin mentor, so no one can object!"
Reiki sighed with a smile. "Fine, both of you can come. Prepare whatever you need...well, actually, you probably don't need much. I'll let you know when it's time."
The two girls ran off excitedly to prepare, while Reiki headed to Minato's residence to meet Nozuki.
At Minato's Residence
As Reiki approached, he noticed two figures standing near the door. A smile crept onto his face. "Shisui? Nozuki? Are you two on a date?"
The comment immediately made their faces turn crimson.
"Don't talk nonsense!" Nozuki retorted quickly. "Shisui just came to discuss recent mission arrangements."
"Exactly," Shisui added nervously.
Reiki chuckled. "Relax, I'm not here to ruin your moment. Nozuki, would you like to join me on a mission?"
He then briefly explained the upcoming operation to the two of them.
Shisui and Nozuki's Concerns
"Forcefully deterring Sunagakure?" Nozuki said, her face clouded with concern. "Won't this provoke a war? Konoha has already become the focal point of the ninja world…"
"A war?" Reiki raised an eyebrow. "Do you really think Konoha is afraid of war now?"
He elaborated. With the absence of Danzo and Hiruzen Sarutobi, internal conflicts had ceased. Coupled with the power boosts from the potions and the incredible strength of Konoha's high-ranking ninjas, no other village could rival them now.
Shisui, however, looked at Reiki suspiciously. "What's your real purpose, Reiki?"
Nozuki nodded, sharing his curiosity. She had always seen Reiki as a dedicated medical ninja, but recent events had made her question his true intentions.
Reiki Reveals the Otsutsuki Threat
"My purpose?" Reiki smirked slightly. "Nozuki, have you ever thought that there might be forces more powerful than the ninja villages? Something beyond this world?"
"Beyond the ninja villages?" Nozuki frowned. "Even the black market doesn't qualify as that kind of force."
"Reiki, are you saying you've discovered such an existence?" Shisui asked, his voice tense.
Reiki nodded. "Yes. It's a clan called the Otsutsuki. I came across evidence of their existence during my past missions—particularly while treating Madara-sama."
He went on to explain the terrifying power and origin of the Otsutsuki clan, leaving the two stunned.
"If such a threat exists, uniting the ninja world and enhancing everyone's strength is the only way we can hope to stand against them," Reiki concluded.
The Path to Unity
"If that's the case, why don't you tell Hokage-sama and work with other Kage directly to address this?" Shisui asked, confused.
Reiki sighed, giving Shisui an incredulous look. "Do you think everyone will just believe me without evidence? Even you and Nozuki needed convincing! Without concrete proof, my words will sound like a wild story. Negotiating with other villages on a hunch is foolish."
Shisui looked embarrassed. "Fair point. But will battles really convince other villages?"
Reiki nodded. "The battles aren't meant to persuade them. They're meant to establish dominance. Only when we've shown our strength will the other villages trust us and listen. Once that happens, revealing the existence of the Otsutsuki will carry weight."
Nozuki and Shisui exchanged glances, finally understanding Reiki's strategy.
Konoha wasn't just preparing for war. It was laying the groundwork for something far greater—a united ninja world, ready to face an unimaginable threat.
