Chapter 400 - **Chapter 400: Dialogue Ending 9**

---

**In a dimly lit room, Kakuzu's frustration boiled over as he glared at Teita.**

"If you value your life, don't mention that again," Kakuzu said coldly, his voice tinged with fear. "If the leader wanted to kill me, do you think I have enough hearts for him to harvest?"

His words silenced the room. Despite his formidable defenses and mastery over life-extension techniques, Kakuzu knew all too well that Reiki's abilities transcended conventional strength. The thought of facing him in battle made even someone like Kakuzu uneasy.

Chana chuckled, licking her lips mischievously. "Kakuzu is right. There's no point in even entertaining the thought. The leader has given us freedom, wealth, and power—things no one else could offer."

Her tone shifted, becoming more focused. "And with the potions he provided, our strength has grown immensely. This is the perfect time to make a statement and show the world what the Awakening Organization can do."

Souta nodded in agreement. "Stick to the plan. I'll handle the money exchange information. Everyone else, prepare for battle. This won't be a simple skirmish. We may face some powerful enemies."

---

**On the road to the Daimyo's Mansion, Reiki and his team pressed forward.**

The group—comprising Reiki, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Orochimaru, Minato, and Kushina—moved quickly, their quasi-Kage-level strength allowing them to cover significant ground. By mid-afternoon, they crested a mountain and stopped to rest on a flat plain.

Tsunade approached Reiki, curiosity in her eyes. "Reiki, you mentioned there might be attacks along the way, but it's been a day, and there's been no sign of trouble. Are you sure someone is coming?"

"Just wait," Reiki replied with a smirk, pulling out a few bottles of origin potion. "It's only a matter of time. Meanwhile, does anyone need more of these?"

Tsunade raised a hand immediately. "Of course I do."

Before she could take a bottle, Jiraiya and Orochimaru appeared, their eyes lighting up at the sight of the potion.

"Reiki, I want some too," Jiraiya said, his tone eager. Orochimaru nodded silently, his usual aloofness giving way to anticipation.

Having experienced the potion's effects firsthand, they knew it could enhance their core potential—something invaluable to elite shinobi like them.

Reiki grinned. "Sure. No money needed, though. Bring me the medicinal ingredients on this list when we return to the village. If you can find rare herbs from the sage regions, even better."

He handed the bottles over, his terms agreed to without hesitation.

---

**Kushina, watching from the side, grew curious.**

"What kind of potion is that? If it's good enough for you three, I want some too," she said, folding her arms.

"This potion enhances talent," Reiki explained. "But someone as gifted as you, Kushina-sama, probably doesn't need it."

Kushina pouted. "Improve talent? Of course, I want it! And Minato will too."

Reiki laughed and handed her a bottle. "Fine. By the way, Kushina-sama, how's your health? No issues with the Nine-Tails recently?"

Kushina hesitated, then smiled. "No problems that I've noticed. Do you want to check?"

Reiki nodded. Placing his hand on Kushina's shoulder, he closed his eyes and extended his chakra into her body. Within moments, he was enveloped in a wave of warmth.

---

**Inside Kushina's mind, Reiki stood before the Nine-Tails.**

"Why are you here again, boy?" Kurama growled, glaring at him warily.

Though it resented Reiki for forcefully extracting some of its chakra in the past, Kurama grudgingly acknowledged the benefits. Since then, its restlessness had eased significantly.

"I'm just checking to see if everything's stable," Reiki replied, placing his hands on the chakra surrounding Kurama. His examination revealed minor fluctuations, but nothing alarming. "Same as before. No major issues."

Reiki hesitated, then asked, "Kurama, what can you tell me about Otsutsuki Hagoromo?"

Kurama's ears twitched at the name. "The old man? Why are you asking about him?"

"I found writings he left behind in the Uchiha clan's ancestral hall," Reiki explained. "They mention things about the ninja sect and the ancient world. I want to understand more about our roots."

Kurama snorted. "Hmph. The old man, huh? Fine, I'll tell you what I know. But don't expect much."

---

Kurama recounted its memories, though fragmented, of Otsutsuki Hagoromo. As one of the nine tailed beasts, Kurama had been created by Hagoromo and had fought alongside him in its youth.

"The old man gave us life, splitting us from the Ten-Tails," Kurama said, its voice softer. "He said we'd be free one day, but I never understood what he meant. Before he died, he entrusted each of us with something… something we didn't understand."

Kurama's gaze darkened as it tried to recall more but failed. "That's all I remember."

Reiki listened intently. **"Entrusted with something… could it be related to the strange energy I've been sensing in the Sharingan, Byakugan, and tailed beasts?"**

"Thanks, Kurama," Reiki said, his tone thoughtful. "This helps more than you know."

---

**Outside, Kushina watched Reiki as he came out of his trance.**

"Everything's fine," Reiki reassured her with a smile. "You're as healthy as ever."

"Good to know!" Kushina replied cheerfully.

---

**Meanwhile, in a hidden location, dark forces plotted against the team.**

On the black market, bounties for Reiki and Namikaze Minato had drawn the attention of countless mercenaries and rogue ninjas. Kakuzu, sitting in a small wooden house, stared at the bounty posters spread before him.

"Don't tell me you're thinking of going after our leader," Teita said nervously.

Kakuzu chuckled. "Even I'm not that foolish. But this bounty… it's tempting."

The room fell silent as Kakuzu's sharp eyes lingered on Reiki's name, his thoughts unreadable.
