Five days later, the monster's chakra grew increasingly unstable, prompting Reiki to pack up his treatment stall. Back at his residence, Reiki opened his panel:

Looking at the impressive numbers, Reiki couldn't help but smile. His main goal now was to restore his condition to full strength before the monster's power erupted.
Three days later.
**Boom...**
A powerful shockwave spread throughout the Kingdom of Ghosts. The demon chakra, which had been fluctuating throughout Fengcheng, now surged violently. Reiki, who was in the middle of training, opened his eyes immediately.
"It's here!"
He disappeared from the room and found Nozuki and the others already outside. Other ninjas were also emerging from their quarters.
"The miko has gone to initiate the sealing. Now, the undead army has appeared," announced a Fengcheng guard. "Please, all ninjas, join us to resist the undead forces!"
The demon had just broken through its seal, so its power was still weak. These undead forces were sent to kill humans and feed off their life force to bolster the demon's strength. If they could hold back these creatures, Maitreya would have the strength needed to reseal the monster.
Ninjas and guards alike rushed out of the city. If the undead army breached Fengcheng, it could spell the end for every ordinary citizen within its walls.
Soon, the undead horde came into view, their sheer numbers overwhelming.
"So, this is the undead army?"
"My chakra is boiling. Today, these beasts will learn that invading the ninja world was their biggest mistake."
"Fight! For the future of the ninja world, we must win!"
The ninjas, fueled by determination, charged with their most powerful techniques. Ninjutsu illuminated the battlefield, taijutsu was executed with precision, and puppetry proved lethal. The first wave of undead fell swiftly, shattered by the onslaught. The sight of their success fueled the warriors' confidence.
However, as the battle continued, something unsettling emerged. The defeated undead reformed, rising again and again.
"Why can't we finish them off?" a ninja shouted, frustration edging his voice.
It became apparent that the undead army could not be permanently destroyed. The shattered forms reassembled, restored to their previous state.
"Shisui, Nozuki, Uncle Sakumo," Reiki called out with a calm smile. "It's time. We're about to see casualties."
The three nodded, understanding the weight of the moment.
"Understood."
"Don't worry, we know what we need to do," Shisui said. "Reiki, don't overexert yourself."
With that, they scattered to fulfill their roles. Soon, the injured began arriving at Reiki's makeshift medical area. Many had expressions of terror; not everyone could face death so fearlessly.
"Alright, you're safe now," Reiki assured one of the injured as he moved his hands swiftly. He administered a recovery potion and a stamina potion before beginning treatment.
After treating physical wounds, Reiki also healed their souls.
"Take this," he said, handing over a potion. "It's special—it'll help your body recover faster."
"Thank you, Reiki Medical Ninja," the ninja said, drinking it down.
**"Om..."**
An aura enveloped him, and he felt reinvigorated.
"Hahaha! With medical ninjas like Reiki supporting us, we'll take down this undead army today!" The once-weary ninja bolted back to the front lines, battle-ready.
This new potion, the Invigorating Potion, had proven invaluable.
**[Invigorating Potion: Boosts morale and invigorates the body]**
"Reiki Medical Ninja, we're from Takigakure Village," a group of girls said as they approached. "Can we help you treat the wounded?"
Though they appeared slightly nervous, they looked determined.
Reiki regarded them for a moment. "Thank you. Your help would be much appreciated."
The girls, visibly relieved, sat down and began assisting with emergency care. Watching Reiki work, their eyes sparkled with admiration.
As the battle wore on, the flow of injured ninjas increased. Thanks to the extra hands, Reiki could keep up with the surge.
Meanwhile, at the site of the monster's seal, Maitreya was struggling against the binding purple-black energy.
"Struggle all you want; my power will only grow stronger. You can't suppress me!" the monster roared. "I won't kill you. I'll let you watch as your world crumbles under my undead army!"
Maitreya, however, remained calm, observing the energy before her. Unbeknownst to the demon, its power was subtly diminishing.
