It confirmed his previous suspicion—this unique energy seemed to exist within the soul of every tailed beast, as well as in members of the Uchiha and Hyuga clans. The exception was Uchiha Obito, a crucial reason why Reiki had brought him back.
With chakra flowing steadily, the energy plaguing the Nine-Tails gradually began to dissipate. After more than an hour, the invasive force was cleared. Reiki's medical technique, *Holy Hand Benevolence*, was now at level 3, which made even the formidable energy within the Nine-Tails manageable. Reiki began to wonder if the beast's notorious temper was linked to this very energy.
The system's notification pinged in his mind:

A dark red orb of energy materialized in Reiki's hand—the core of the Nine-Tails' chakra. Before he could question the feasibility of holding two tailed beasts' chakra within himself, the essence merged into his body.
"Susususu..."
Chains shot out and ensnared Reiki in an instant.
"Hahaha…" The Nine-Tails chuckled, its eyes glinting with mischief. "You foolish boy, did you really think you could siphon my chakra from Kushina's body? These seals were put in place precisely to prevent such a thing. Now that my chakra is fused with you, you're bound by the same restrictions. Without Kushina's consent, you can't leave here."
Despite the boast, the Nine-Tails was hiding its confusion. The boy didn't seem malicious, even when he claimed to want to heal it.
"A seal?" Reiki said, assessing the chains. "Kushina-nee's seals are impressive."
"Kid, you can't escape. Don't think for a second that getting out of here is simple," the Nine-Tails taunted. "These seals are fortified by her chakra, and she's set up multiple layers. You'd need more than brute force to break them."
Reiki simply smirked. "ROOM."
Activating the power of his surgery-based technique, Reiki phased through the seal and stepped out. He skillfully hid the tailed beast chakra within himself, so the seal wouldn't react to his presence.
"W-What?!" The Nine-Tails' jaw dropped in disbelief. It knew the strength of Kushina's seal. How had this human escaped so easily? A spark of hope flickered in its eyes.
Could this human really help it? After nearly a decade of being trapped, it longed to see the world again. And if working with Kushina was the only way…
"Boy, what's your name?" The Nine-Tails finally asked, curiosity piqued.
"Reiki," he replied. "I'm a medical ninja whose goal is to end suffering. Even tailed beasts deserve healing. No discrimination."
With that, Reiki withdrew from Kushina's mind. He opened his eyes to find himself in an awkward position, hand inadvertently placed somewhere inappropriate. A sudden chill signaled the brewing wrath of Kushina.
"Brother Minato, I spoke with the Nine-Tails," Reiki said seriously, diverting Minato's attention just as he was about to scold him.
"The Nine-Tails? You communicated with it?" Minato's concern shifted immediately.
Kushina stirred and sat up, her eyes wide with surprise. "The Nine-Tails approved of me? Really?" she asked, disbelief coloring her voice. Every encounter she'd had with it ended with snarling and threats. What kind of communication had Reiki experienced?
"Ah," Reiki nodded. "Sister Kushina, trust me. Try speaking with it."
The thought of a perfect Jinchuriki was tantalizing. A Kushina who could wield the Nine-Tails' power would elevate Minato's status in the village. If Kushina gained full control over the beast, Minato's bid for the Hokage seat would strengthen. Reiki's eyes gleamed with anticipation. If this worked, he'd be one step closer to achieving his own goals.
