Hyuga Hanano was taken aback. It was known that the Hyuga's Gentle Fist did not include chakra nature changes. Gentle Fist is a unique palm technique developed through the Byakugan and specific training to release chakra directly into an opponent's meridians during close combat, effectively disrupting their chakra flow. This technique is lethal in close quarters, often halving a ninjutsu specialist's strength.
However, this new addition of chakra nature changes into Hyuga's Gentle Fist was beyond anything known before—no simple 1+1.
"Yes, and I can combine my two chakra natures at will!"

Hyuga held up both hands, making circular motions that seemed to draw in the energy of sun and moon. Wind surged around his left hand, water flowed over his right, and the two natures alternated in his palms.

In a flash, a large boulder in the courtyard shattered under the release of two streams of energy from Hyuga's hands. And that was just a random demonstration. What if it had been a serious attack? What would its limits be?
The Hyuga clan was known for its close-range Gentle Fist and Byakugan's long-range support, but with this change in range and technique, they could bring unexpected surprises to any opponent.
"These powers came from your treatment?" Hyuga Hanano's eyes sparkled with excitement as she gazed at Hyuga. Though in her thirties, her ninja training had preserved her youthful appearance, and she looked as eager as a girl.
Hyuga Iron, nearby, was dumbfounded. He had undergone treatment as well, yet had not developed powers quite like his father's… And was this really his mother?
"Yes," Hyuga confirmed. "Iron's abilities are also improving. Once he masters chakra nature manipulation, he should be able to perform the same techniques."
"But my current concern isn't just about me. Should I inform the clan leader?"
Hyuga hesitated. If they kept this a secret, he could gain an advantage in future clan competitions, potentially even becoming the Hyuga clan leader. But doing so would prevent the entire clan from reaching greater heights. And if he ascended to leadership through secrecy, allowing only direct family members access to such treatment, the overall gains would be limited.
Family was important, but… the choice was challenging.
"Follow your heart," Hyuga Hanano advised, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Make a decision you won't regret."
"Father, we should inform the clan about these changes," Hyuga Iron said with sudden conviction. "A family that's strong together is truly powerful."
Iron's determination swept away Hyuga's last hesitation. Family, after all, mattered most.
"Alright. I'll speak to the clan leader."
Just then, Reiki's voice called from inside the house.
"Reiki? The medical ninja?" Hyuga was momentarily surprised and hurried into the room, where Reiki, weak from the treatment, was sitting up slowly.
"I overheard you discussing whether to share your changes with the family. Aren't you going to think about me?" Reiki looked at him with a slight, wry smile.
Hyuga froze, feeling embarrassed. He'd completely overlooked the one who made this transformation possible—Reiki. The ninja had grown weak in the process, yet Hyuga hadn't even considered him.
"My apologies, Reiki. If you're willing to treat other members of the Hyuga clan, I won't object. But is there something you need?"
Reiki's eyes glinted playfully. "There's one condition…"
In the courtyard of the Hyuga clan's chief…
"What?" The clan leader, Hyuga Momori, looked incensed. "Impossible! Even if what you're saying is true, I will not agree to his terms. Return to that medical ninja and tell him the Hyuga clan has its own principles!"
Hyuga Momori had been thrilled at the thought of the clan's rise after hearing Hyuga's account of the enhanced Gentle Fist technique. Yet, discovering Reiki's role in it, coupled with Reiki's request, unsettled him. Reiki had proposed removing the Hyuga clan's "Caged Bird" seal to treat all clan members for hidden ailments in the Byakugan.
Such a request was far beyond what Hyuga Momori could accept.
"I understand, Clan Leader," Hyuga replied, pausing. "But… Reiki said this would be his only request. Next time, his terms will be stricter. Are you sure?"
Momori remained steadfast. "Unless I am no longer the clan leader, the 'Caged Bird' will remain! It's essential for protecting our bloodline and our family's sacrifice to the clan! I won't let an outsider dictate our ways, especially a mere medical ninja!"
Hyuga recognized the firm resolve and decided to leave without further argument.
"Cousin, let's begin!"
At the martial arena, Hyuga Hizashi, standing in a fighting stance, faced Hyuga. The intensity in his gaze was unmistakable; he had heard the conversation and was determined to challenge the powerful new Gentle Fist techniques.
