Chapter 74 - **Chapter 74: The Special Prisoner and Sarutobi Hiruzen’s Plans**

After a long day at the hospital, Reiki returned home with Shizune, only to be greeted by Shisui and Nozuki waiting at the entrance.

"Reiki, want to get some extra practice in tonight?" Shisui asked, grinning.

Reiki shook his head. "Actually, I'm heading to the interrogation department. All the public training grounds are closed tonight. Why don't you join me?"

Shisui raised a brow. "The interrogation department? Aren't you a medical ninja?"

"It's simple," Reiki said, smirking. "The interrogation team's methods are pretty ruthless, and they can push their prisoners to the brink without getting information. I heal them, keep them alive, and they get interrogated again. Simple as that."

Shisui and Nozuki shivered at the thought. Shizune was quick to follow Nozuki inside, wanting nothing to do with the horrors of the interrogation department.

Soon after, Reiki and Shisui arrived at the department, where Yihe, head of interrogation, greeted them.

"Brother Reiki, you're finally back! We have a tough one here who isn't cracking. Would you give it a try?" Yihe asked, his voice filled with relief.

"Of course," Reiki replied. "This is my teammate Uchiha Shisui. I'd like him to join me. Is that okay?"

The mention of the Uchiha name caught Iga off guard, but he composed himself quickly, nodding with a smile. "No problem. Having Uchiha support should be helpful."

They were led to a high-security room, covered in sealing talismans. Reiki noted that this prisoner must be a particularly dangerous individual.

"This guy stole some relics of the First Hokage," Iga explained, his tone serious. "If we don't recover them soon, they might disappear into the black market for good."

"A relic of the First?" Reiki asked, his interest piqued. This was Tsunade's grandfather's legacy they were talking about. If she knew, she'd be devastated.

"Tsunade-sama hasn't been informed yet. Hokage-sama wants us to keep this quiet, even from her," Iga said cautiously, his voice hinting at the delicate nature of the situation.

"I understand. Open the cell," Reiki replied, his tone calm but steely. He entered the cell as the talisman was peeled back, exposing a narrow entrance.

Outside, Shisui waited with Yihe, his mind racing. Reiki's standing with the interrogation department seemed even more formidable than he had realized. Yihe, who often dealt with Uchiha members with caution, treated Reiki as an equal.

Iga noticed Shisui's surprise. "You're Shisui, right? Hokage-sama has mentioned you. Training with Tsunade-sama will make you a strong asset for the village," he said, his expression softening, though his face had a naturally severe look that made his smile appear almost sinister.

"Thank you, Minister Yihe," Shisui replied, his mind still puzzling over Reiki's connections and his relaxed authority within the interrogation department.

---

Meanwhile, in the Hokage's office, Yihe reported Reiki's activities and mentioned Shisui's presence alongside him.

"Uchiha Shisui?" Hiruzen asked, raising an eyebrow. "A promising child, one with the Will of Fire. Let Reiki handle the interrogation, but let Shisui know the results afterward," he instructed, savoring the satisfaction of orchestrating events.

Hiruzen regarded Reiki's growing influence with interest. Unlike some geniuses, Reiki seemed level-headed, and any previous conflicts with Sarutobi Asuma were mere childhood quarrels in his eyes. Reiki's skills in medical ninjutsu, his diligence, and his unwavering loyalty to Konoha were all falling into place within Hiruzen's plan.

Yihe nodded, acknowledging Hokage's orders, before vanishing to return to his duties.
