Early the next morning, Reiki woke up and prepared breakfast. After setting a plate outside, he called out, "Morishita-sama, it's time for breakfast!" He placed the food on a stone table before starting his morning exercises.
Before long, Reiki's morning training session attracted some familiar faces.
"Reiki, today I will definitely surpass you!" Might Guy declared with his usual confidence, radiating the youthful energy that defined him.
"You won't skip today's training, right?" he continued, his excitement palpable. "Father said that if you're not here, the progress of our special training will be delayed. The other medical ninjas just can't keep up. Plus, I want to challenge you today."
Kakashi joined in, adding, "Brother Reiki, what you taught me has been incredibly helpful. Can you share something new with me?"
Obito, practically bouncing with enthusiasm, exclaimed, "I'm keeping up with you guys today! I want to learn too!"
While the boys engaged in their banter, Shizune, Kurenai, and Rin were busy preparing breakfast for the group.
After completing three laps around the village, everyone started to feel the strain, except for Might Guy, who seemed to have boundless energy, a testament to his dedication to physical training.
"Today, I have a gift for you all," Reiki announced as they paused outside a weapons shop.
"What kind of gift?" Obito asked, curiosity piqued.
"Are you sure you want to give us something?" Kakashi added, his tone skeptical yet intrigued.
"Let's go inside and talk," Reiki replied with a smile, leading them into the shop.
The trio's families were well-off, and they could easily afford any kind of tools they wanted, so they were puzzled by Reiki's intentions.
"Hello, boss! I need to order some special protective gear," Reiki addressed the shopkeeper, a burly middle-aged man known for crafting high-quality cutting tools. "I want it made from the heaviest metal, at least 20 kg per piece, shaped like this." He handed the shopkeeper a scroll with specifications.
"Is this protective gear meant for physical training?" the shopkeeper asked, intrigued.
"Brother Reiki," he added, "you helped treat my son Nagasawa. He speaks very highly of you. I'll make this for you at no charge."
"No, you must accept payment. Besides, being a medical ninja is my duty; it's nothing to thank me for. I'll pay you what you deserve." Reiki smiled, pulling out a leather pouch filled with money and handing it to the shopkeeper.
"Alright! Pick it up in three days," the shopkeeper confirmed, nodding appreciatively. "I'll prepare four sets."
After thanking the shopkeeper, Reiki turned to his friends. "What do you think about the gear?"
Obito was confused. "What do you mean? This kind of thing is for training? Aren't we going to break our chests with all that iron?"
"It's for weight training," Reiki explained patiently. "The limits of our bodies come from the pressure we put on them. We're young, and our bodies are still growing. To become strong ninjas, we need a solid foundation."
Reiki thought back to the original series and how even characters like Obito, who seemed average at first, had transformed into powerful figures due to significant physical improvements. Reiki's own physical capabilities had skyrocketed recently, and he needed this training to adapt to his newfound strength.
"Is that so?" Might Guy pondered, looking impressed.
"Sometimes I wonder if you help us just so you can beat us better in the end!" Obito joked, grinning widely.
The others rolled their eyes at him, their expressions telling him to stay focused.
After their morning training, the three girls arrived with breakfast. Following their meal, Reiki and Shizune headed to the training ground, while the others went to school, balancing their studies with their training.

Meanwhile, at the Root organization, Danzo was seething with frustration. "Morishita? This guy…" After learning that the ninjas he sent out had been captured, Danzo's mood darkened. It was clear that Hiruzen Sarutobi was going to intervene, and he couldn't just give up.
"Danzo-sama, Hokage-sama requests your presence in the conference room," a ninja from the Root organization reported, holding a scroll.
"I see," Danzo replied, suppressing his displeasure. He knew he needed to be patient; his plans would come to fruition in due time. Reiki was still young, and there would be more opportunities.

In the Konoha meeting room, Sarutobi Hiruzen sat at the head of the table, flanked by Koharu, Homura, and Danzo. The other attendees included clan leaders and elder members of the community, with Orochimaru and Tsunade arriving unexpectedly.
"Thank you all for coming. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the next Hokage candidate," Hiruzen began, his voice steady. "I am getting older, and I believe it's time to consider a successor."
His words caused a ripple of confusion among the clan leaders. Hiruzen was still in his prime; why the sudden urgency to choose a successor?
"Hokage-sama, I believe Orochimaru would make an excellent choice," Homura proposed quickly. "He's your disciple, and his performance during the recent war has been outstanding."
The room buzzed with murmurs as everyone weighed in on Homura's suggestion, pondering the future of Konoha and who would best lead them into it.
