Further along the path, we encountered an orangutan resting on a high platform. Its deep, soulful eyes seemed to watch us curiously, and Aoi tilted her head, mimicking its pose.
"Onii-Chan, it looks so wise," she whispered.
"That's because orangutans are very intelligent," I replied. "They're known for being problem solvers."
Aki squinted at the orangutan. "You think it could help me with my math homework?"
Yuki sighed. "Only if it's willing to work harder than you do."
As the afternoon wore on, the kids began to tire, but their excitement remained unshaken. We found a small shaded picnic area and decided to take a break. Nearby, a family was sharing a large basket of sandwiches while a group of teenagers chatted and took selfies.
I handed out water bottles and snacks from my bag, and the kids sat cross-legged on the grass, chatting animatedly about their favorite animals so far.
