TWELVE
"Hun, my head!" Emma woke up the following morning, feeling disoriented in the luxurious room Alex had shown and put her the previous night.
As she stretched her arms, sitting on the bed, his words echoed in her mind.
"I prepared this room knowing you would come home one day." He had said, his eyes filled with emotion.
Now, as morning light shoned through the elegant curtains, Emma stood up and explored the spacious walk-in closet, her eyes widening at its contents.
"This is... incredible." She muttered, running her fingers over the beautiful dresses.
"Everything is exactly my size – clothes, shoes, even the underwear." She observed.
"How did he know all of this information about me?" She wondered aloud, examining a particularly beautiful blue dress that matched her eyes perfectly. That was her favorite color.
However, a soft knock on the door interrupted her thoughts.
"Come in." Emma called out.
