Chapter 9 - Echoes of Transformation

The afternoon sun cast a warm glow over the estate, and the air carried the scent of the dry, barren surroundings. Thomas and Emily were leaning against the balustrade on the upper floor corridor, They appeared to watch the bustling courtyard below, though their thoughts were elsewhere.

Emily, still pondering, said, "I wonder what the young master is doing inside the stable."

Thomas glanced towards the stable with a thoughtful expression. "Whatever it is," he replied, "it's bound to benefit us."

"I'm really looking forward to seeing the changes the young master has planned," Thomas continued, his voice serious. "If his vision comes true, it will be a huge benefit for the people of Blackthorn."

Emily nodded with enthusiasm. "I know! He seems to have a clear vision, and I believe he will be able to elevate our status."

Thomas smiled, "Yes, the young master seems to be working on some mysterious plans."

Emily's eyes sparkled with anticipation. "I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us."

They both paused, observing the bustling activity below. The estate was teeming with life and movement, indicating a wave of transformation on the horizon.

"Remember those fruits the young master brought before?" Thomas said, breaking the silence. "We've never had anything like them before, and they tasted amazing. I've never experienced anything quite like it."

Emily's eyes widened with realization. "Yes, those fruits were incredible! They seemed to have some kind of magical mana in them. And considering how expensive magical fruits are, having access to them would be a significant benefit for everyone here. We could even sell the surplus at high prices due to their quality and boost our income. I hope the young master will be able to get us more of those magical fruits."

Thomas couldn't help but wonder how in the world the young master was able to procure such extraordinary fruits. "Absolutely," he said. "Being able to sell these fruits at high prices due to their quality would significantly boost our income. And incorporating such quality produce into our diet regularly would improve our health and help with malnutrition."

Thomas placed a reassuring hand on Emily's shoulder. Emily smiled, hopeful and trusting in the young master's ability to make a difference in their lives.

As they shared the moment, the stable doors opened, and Ethan stepped out, ready to continue their journey.

.....

The anticipation in the air was palpable as Emily and Thomas made their way to the stable where Ethan had just stepped outside. Curiosity sparked in their eyes as they approached, wondering what had transpired inside.

"Young master, can you let us know what happened?" Emily asked, her voice laced with gentle intrigue.

Thomas, equally intrigued, added, "What did you do, young master?"

Ethan smiled, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Come, let me show you."

He led them into the stable, where the once familiar sight of their cattle had transformed into something extraordinary. Earlier, Ethan had taken the cattle back from the dimension he had sent before. The animals that stood before them now were nothing short of magnificent. Each one had evolved into a more muscular and vibrant version of its former self. Their coats were glossy and rich in color, exuding health and vitality. The cattle were calm and seemed deeply satisfied, a stark contrast to their earlier states. Their udders appeared larger and full, indicating they were producing more milk than ever before.

Thomas and Emily were awestruck. "Young master, these cattle... are they the same ones we had before?" Thomas asked, his voice filled with awe.

Ethan chuckled softly. "It's related to the magical fruits we gathered before, but it's not exactly the same thing. Let's just say the process involves some unique elements," he replied, leaving the details unsaid.

Emily's eyes widened with realization. "So, you can not only obtain magical fruits but you can also improve the quality of our livestock?"

Ethan nodded. "With these evolved cattle, we'll have a better source of food and resources. And considering their quality, we can even sell them at high prices, boosting our income significantly."

Thomas couldn't help but get excited. "Young master, you never cease to amaze us. This will truly elevate our status and improve the well-being of everyone here."

Ethan nodded. "And there's more to it. We can also improve the soil using similar process, which will enhance the quality of our plants and significantly reduce the time it takes for them to produce," he explained, his voice brimming with excitement.

...

Ethan stepped out of the stable. He joined Emily and Thomas, who were busily coordinating the efforts to prepare the land for planting and organizing the new seeds.

Under Thomas's guidance, a few servants worked efficiently to prepare the soil. However, they knew that the land was not arable—it was barren and dry, lacking the nutrients needed to support crops. They couldn't help but feel a bit puzzled as Ethan hadn't mentioned arranging water or any irrigation from the river. However, after witnessing the miraculous transformation of the cattle, they were hopeful that another miracle was on the horizon.

Emily, with her natural organizational skills, was sorting through the seeds. She had a keen eye for detail, and when she saw that the seeds Ethan had provided were of superior quality, she noticed that none of them were defective. As she worked, she couldn't help but glance over at Ethan, her thoughts filled with curiosity and admiration.

"Emily, how's everything coming along?" Ethan asked as he approached her.

"Everything is in order, young master. We're ready to start planting as soon as the fields are prepared, but... the land doesn't seem very fertile," Emily replied, confused.

Thomas approached, having overheard the conversation. "Young master, how are we going to make this barren land arable? We haven't arranged for any water or irrigation from the river."

Ethan's smile widened. "Just watch."

With a sense of calm confidence, Ethan raised his hands as if giving a command. Suddenly, out of nowhere, rain began to fall onto the soil. The water showered down, nourishing the land with its rich, life-giving properties. Thomas, Emily, and the servants watched in awe, their curiosity turning to amazement. They couldn't help but wonder what would happen to the soil, as it seemed the water had some special properties. As the water seeped into the ground, they could feel the soil changing, becoming more fertile and enriched with each passing moment. They could also sense the spiritual energy flowing through the air.

"The young master is truly remarkable," Thomas muttered, eyes wide with wonder.

Emily's admiration for Ethan deepened, her voice filled with anticipation. "This is incredible. I can feel the energy. It's like the water is bringing the soil to life."

In this world, the concept of producing water out of nowhere was not entirely new. There were individuals who could extract water from the air and others with unique abilities such as controlling fire, manipulating earth, and harnessing wind. These gifted individuals were known as Elementalists, but they were rare and considered national assets. While a water Elementalists could produce water, it was typically in small amounts. What Ethan was doing, on the other hand, was unprecedented.

As the rain continued to fall, the fields absorbed the water, ready to support the new crops. The servants began to whisper among themselves, their eyes shining with a mix of awe and excitement. They marveled at Ethan's newfound ability to produce such a vast amount of water seemingly out of nowhere. The whispers grew louder, and the sense of wonder spread, as they realized they were witnessing something truly extraordinary and potentially transformative for their future.

Ethan had also brought some animals from the dimension and placed them in the new field. These weren't ordinary animals; they could be considered magical due to their origin in the dimension. Thomas and Emily watched in awe as these extraordinary creatures settled into their new environment. The animals seemed to exude a gentle aura, a reflection of the spiritual energy that had nurtured them.

"Did you see that?" one of the servants exclaimed, eyes wide with astonishment. "Is the young master a teleporter as well?"

"I've never seen anything like it," another servant murmured, eyes fixed on the creatures. "I'm not sure what the young master's gift is, but it doesn't seem to be teleporting."

Another servant chimed in, "He must have some kind of extraordinary gift. First, the miraculous water and now these magical animals. What else could he be capable of?"

"Whatever it is, it feels like we're witnessing something extraordinary," added yet another, their voice filled with awe. "The young master's abilities are unlike anything we've ever seen."

"He's an Elementalist, but one of a kind," suggested a thoughtful servant. "His powers seem to go beyond the usual abilities we've heard about."

Thomas and Emily watched in awe as these extraordinary creatures settled into their new environment.

"This is beyond anything I could have imagined," Thomas said, his voice filled with awe. "The young master truly has a remarkable gift."

.....

Having built a well to provide a consistent water source, Ethan was eager to find a way to connect the well to the dimension and get water from there. He reached out to Aria for guidance.

"Aria, how can I connect the well to the dimension and get the water from it?" Ethan inquired.

Aria responded thoughtfully, "We can use connector portal, for now, we can only have one connector portal. A connector portal is a one-way passage that can transport a specific type of material from the dimension to the specified location. However, it cannot be used to transport anything back into the dimension."

Curious about the mechanics, Ethan asked, "What exactly are connector portals?"

Aria explained, "Connector portals are special gateways that allow the flow of a single type of substance. In this case, the portal will only transport water from the dimension to the well, but it won't be able to transport anything back from the well to the dimension. Due to the low level of the dimension, currently, creating multiple connector portals or even normal portals is not possible at this time.

Understanding the limitations, Ethan nodded. "I see. Let's go ahead and connect the portal to transport water from the dimension to the well."

Aria complied, establishing the connection. The well began to fill with crystal-clear water, drawn from the dimension. Ethan observed the process with satisfaction, knowing that this would ensure a continuous supply of water nutrition for their agricultural needs. The water that had already shown such promise in transforming the soil and nurturing their crops and animals.

With the fields planted, the animals thriving, and the soil enriched by the magical water, Ethan felt a renewed sense of purpose.

As night fell, Ethan stood by the fields, watching the stars twinkle above. The future was uncertain, but it was filled with promise. He knew that together, they could build something truly remarkable.

Emily quietly joined him, standing by his side without a word. They both gazed up at the starry sky, feeling the cool night breeze and the warmth of their shared accomplishment. In that serene moment, Ethan felt a gentle touch as Emily's hand slipped into his. They held hands, drawing strength and comfort from each other, the silence between them speaking volumes.
