As the swirling mists around me settled, I stared at Gaia, her imposing presence commanding my attention. Her offer—or rather, her demand—hung in the air, heavy and suffocating. She wanted me to be her champion. To save the world from certain doom. But I wasn't having it.
I crossed my arms, giving her a hard look. "Why me? Why not someone else?" I asked, my voice laced with frustration. "I don't care about this world. I just want to live quietly with my mother. Find someone else to be your hero."
Gaia's eyes narrowed slightly, the warmth from before replaced with an edge of impatience. "If you don't act, there won't be a world for you or your mother. No home, no peace. Everything you know will be wiped out. Earth will be overrun by the Monarchs' armies, and your precious life will be reduced to ash."
The weight of her words crashed down on me, but I wasn't going to give in so easily, afterall I'm not Jin woo who cares about others more then myself. "And why me?" I repeated. "You've got plenty of people to choose from, people who are stronger, more willing. What makes me special?"
Gaia's expression hardened. "First of all, it's your greed that brought you here. You think you're the first?" she said, her tone cold. "Five others came before you.
Five people I chose for their strength, their courage, and their potential. And all five of them either died or failed to pass the test. You're not special. You're just the next in line, and if you fail like the others, then Earth will burn."
Her words sent a chill down my spine. So, I wasn't her first choice. The fact that others had died trying made my stomach turn but more than that my stomach churned at the fact that I wasn't her first choice, that hurt my invisible ego.
"If it's that dire," I muttered, "Why don't you do something about it? You're Gaia, Earth Mother or whatever. Shouldn't you be able to handle this?"
Gaia sighed deeply, the weight of her burden evident in her eyes. "If I were at full strength, I would have stopped this long ago and wouldn't be here trying to convince you to do this.
But my power is tied to the Earth, and the damage done by the Monarchs' attempts to breach your world has weakened me. By the time I regain my full strength, it will be too late for Earth. I need you to act now."
I scoffed, turning away from her. "Sounds like a you problem, not a me problem."
Her patience snapped. "This is not the time to be arrogant or to throw tantrums!" Gaia's voice thundered, the ground beneath us trembling. "You don't have a choice. If you don't accept, you will die here, in this very moment, and the world will perish shortly after.
You want to be selfish? Fine. But know this—if you let your greed and cowardice guide you now, it will not only be your death, but the death of every single person on Earth, even your own mother.
Do you think monarchs are benevolent entities? They are not. They invade worlds, conquer them, capture males, forcing them to work tirelessly for their goals, while females would be turned into concubines and breeding cows.
All the females, including your mother, would be violated by monster dicks, and not just one—many monster dicks that will keep penetrating your mother and other females day and night, 24/7 without rest, and don't think they would stop monarchs have very huge army and they have the habit of tasting the females of their conquered world, forcing them to breed monsters.
Your mother and other females would have atleast 500 dicks per day, by the end of just a month, she would be reduced to just a mindless sex doll who doesn't feel anything at all and is used to fuck and breed more monsters, and that will continue till they die.
After death, their insides would be eaten as delicacies, while their skin would be converted into trophies. You talk about being with your mother—if you don't do it, then I'll force you to see your mother bred and raped by monarch dicks, and getting mind-broken, and she being in that state would be all your fault.
And these are just the monarchs we're talking about. There are races far stronger than them. To those races, you're nothing but a puny human being they'll crush for their entertainment.
Instead of killing, I'll make you watch it all with your own eyes. You care so much about your mother, right?
I hope you enjoy seeing her being passed around between these races as if she's not a human but a toy, that is, if she's not lucky enough to die before the invasion starts. And don't forget, in ten years, they'll come back even stronger and more prepared than before. I hope you're ready to face your decision when that time comes.
Her words hit hard. It wasn't just about me anymore, it was about my mother. Like hell I would allow anyone to treat my mother as if she's a sex slave let alone her being violated by those monster dicks.
My selfish desire to live a quiet life with my mother seemed insignificant in the face of my mother being violated by those monarch basterds. Those monarch bastards would pay for even causing me to fear my getting violated by them.
I swallowed hard, my anger deflating. "Chill chill, calm down, take a deep breath and cool down okay, I'll help you, I don't want to die...and I won't let my mother be someone's breeding cow but I didn't ask for this," I muttered.
"If I agree, I need you to be with me every step of the way. I'm not doing this alone. You're going to help me, guide me through this mess, and promise me, if something happens to me, you'll protect my mother. If needed, teleport her somewhere safe and protected properly.
I still don't care about the world. I'm not a saint, and I don't want to be one. I'm doing this for my mother. So if I agree to help you, I need your promise that my mother will be safe. If I don't make it out alive, you need to protect her at any cost and make sure no bastard touches even a single strand of my mother's hair. Can you promise me that?"
Gaia's stern gaze softened. "I promise," she said. She opened a translucent portal, showing my mother doing some chores. Gaia twirled her hand, and a symbol formed on my mother's heart. Her left boob began to glow, though she didn't notice. Gaia repeated the same motion, and the same symbol appeared on my heart.
"This marks both you and your mother," she explained. "If your heart stops beating, meaning you've died, she'll be instantly brought here, and I'll personally escort her to a safe realm."
With a heavy sigh, I nodded. "Fine. I'll be your champion. But I'm not happy about it."
Gaia raised her hand, and a strange roulette wheel appeared in front of us. Symbols I couldn't recognize spun around it, glowing with an ethereal light. "This is the roulette of systems," Gaia explained. "Each system has the potential to help you curb the Monarch threat. I've used my power to analyze which system gives the highest chance of success. Now, it's up to fate."
The wheel spun rapidly, colors and symbols flashing in a blur. I watched with bated breath, wondering what sort of power I'd get.
Something badass, like super strength or godlike combat skills, would be perfect for this insane mission. I could practically feel the tension in the air as the wheel slowed, eventually landing on…
"Rizz?" I blinked, my eyeballs shrunk to being dots, completely shocked and utterly confused. "Is this some kind of joke or what? What the hell is Rizz?"
Gaia smiled, a strange look of satisfaction on her face. "Rizz is the system that has the highest chance of success for you."
I stared at her, baffled. "How does that even work? How is seducing people supposed to help me stop the world from being invaded by Monarchs?"
Gaia's smile remained, though it carried a hint of mystery. "I do not fully understand the intricacies of this system, but the probability is clear. Out of all the systems, Rizz has the highest chance of leading you to victory."
"This is ridiculous," I muttered, rubbing my temples. "How is flirting going to stop world-ending monsters? And what are you smiling for?"
Gaia's expression grew serious. "I know it sounds absurd, but trust the system. You may find that it leads to outcomes beyond mere attraction.
Besides, the ones before you chose systems you might consider 'better'—strength, magic, intelligence—and they failed. You have a unique path ahead of you, and believe me or not this system has the highest probable success rate"
I frowned, still not convinced. But then Gaia added, "And isn't it better for you? You can save the world while also forming deep bonds… perhaps even creating a harem of beautiful companions, having sex with different races, rather than females of your race getting fucked by others"
I blinked in surprise, staring at Gaia as she said that. "You're serious?" I asked, incredulous.
She nodded. "It is a possibility. But more importantly, you must collect the Monarchs' cores. They will be the key to stopping the incursion. Each core will grant you the strength to counter the forces threatening your world.
The Rizz system will help you form alliances, earn trust, and gather the power you need. This much info is enough for now, I'll let you know more information as you continue."
I still wasn't sure how to feel about all of this, but I knew one thing—I didn't really have a choice. Reluctantly, I agreed. "Fine. I'll use this… Rizz system. But you better stick to your word. I expect full support from you, Gaia."
"You have my word," she replied, her voice steady. With a wave of her hand, the roulette disappeared, and the room around me began to fade. "The first step in your journey begins now."
Before I could respond, I felt a sudden shift beneath my feet. The chamber vanished, and I was back in the dungeon, buried under rubble.
The weight of the stone pressed down on me, but I could still feel the faint glow of the Rizz system humming in the back of my mind.
"Well," I muttered to myself, "this is going to be interesting…"
