Chapter 20 - Chapter 20. The Outcome is Set

Afterward, Robb, with the captured Jaime, went to report the victory to Catelyn.

Then, Jaime used taunts, attempting to provoke Robb into a duel to the death.

It was as if Robb was watching a movie; he quickly realized this was the Battle of the Whispering Wood from the original storyline.

But he couldn't move at all, until he heard a "caw" of a bird from behind him.

When Robb opened his eyes again, he heard Theon's voice beside him. Over and over again, Robb kept reliving the Battle of the Whispering Wood.

With each repetition, Robb noticed the binding on his body seemed to loosen a little. He was now able to move his head slightly.

Moreover, every time he reunited with Catelyn on the hill after capturing Jaime, just before the scene repeated, he would hear that bird call behind him.

Finally, this time, when Jaime invited Robb to duel, Robb, like a rusty machine, slowly and stiffly turned his neck to look behind him.

On a low branch, a three-eyed raven with emerald-green eyes was staring intently at him.

"Caw! They cannot die now, caw! They are part of the future!"

Suddenly, the Three-Eyed Raven flapped its wings, speaking in a sharp, unpleasant voice.

Robb, of course, knew who this was, but although he could now move his head, he still couldn't speak.

"One who dares to destroy the future! Caw! Who are you? Who are you?

You are not Robb Stark, caw!"

As the raven's calls became more frantic, it spat out a mouthful of blood, and with a loud "bang," its body exploded.

At the same time, the scene that had trapped Robb for so long rapidly dissolved, and a bright light filled his vision; not green this time, but white!

"Awooooo!"

"Robb!!! Praise the Drowned God, he's awake!"

"You get the broth ready, I'll go inform Lady Catelyn!"

Robb, his vision still blurry, heard several familiar voices around him. He tried hard to open his eyes, and the scene before him gradually became clearer.

Robb was lying on his large bed, Theon standing to his right, and Bloodwind lying on his left. Both man and wolf had concern in their eyes.

A little farther away, Dacey and Owen stood by the door. When they saw Robb's gaze sweep over them, they nodded respectfully before turning to leave, each going to do their tasks.

"Robb! You must feel weak. Do you remember what happened?"

Theon carefully examined Robb, asking softly.

"Wh-what... happened?"

Robb tried to speak, but his throat was dry and hoarse, making it hard to produce sound.

"Robb, you've been unconscious for 13 days!"

Theon's words struck Robb like a bolt of lightning.

"Thir...teen days, the... Lannisters?"

"Lord Eddard agreed to become the Hand of the King. They set off for King's Landing with the Lannisters 3 days ago.

At the same time, Lord Benjen took Jon and the Imp to the Wall."

Theon knew exactly what Robb was asking and immediately explained what had happened recently. After a brief hesitation, he continued,

"That night, the person I sent to notify you found you collapsed at the door of your room. No matter how much they called out, they couldn't wake you, so they immediately informed me.

Without your signal, the plan couldn't proceed. After hiding the Wildfire, I notified Dacey to cancel the plan and then told Lady Catelyn.

The next day, the King and Lord Stark hurried back to Winterfell, and that afternoon, Bran... fell from the ruined tower."

At the end of his explanation, Theon lowered his head in shame, unable to meet Robb's gaze.

Now that Robb understood there was a supernatural force acting behind the scenes, he didn't blame Theon.

"Owen, Osha?"

"With you in a coma, everyone was worried about you. Owen was equally concerned and stayed by your bedside the whole time.

As for Bran, using his familiarity with Winterfell, he managed to shake off Osha's tail. By the time Osha realized it, he had already fallen from the ruined tower."

Theon explained the entire situation clearly in one breath.

Robb nodded upon hearing this and pointed to the cup on the desk, rasping, "Water!"

Theon immediately brought the cup over, gently helping Robb drink as he said, "These past days, we've had to force-feed you milk and honey water. Your body is extremely weak right now, so don't push yourself."

Robb could feel the frailty of his body, so he nodded and let Theon attend to him.

After drinking the water, Robb's throat felt much better. He cleared his throat and tried speaking again, "Ahem, you... you take Bloodwind, Owen, and Smalljon to catch up with my father and the King's party.

Follow them from a distance, but don't let them discover you.

When they rest at Crossroad Inn, secretly bring back Lady and Nymeria. Bloodwind will help you!

As long as you don't reveal your identities, do whatever it takes. Theon, remember! Do whatever it takes to bring them back!"

After giving his orders to Theon, Robb turned to Bloodwind, mentally conveying the idea of following Theon to retrieve Lady and Nymeria.

With its intelligence already fully developed, Bloodwind had no difficulty understanding such a simple command.

It let out a soft whine to signal its understanding while also sending Robb feelings of concern for him.

"Right, have Torrhen and Edd bring a few of the Wolfguards to stand watch by my room, and send Dacey to guard Bran. That's all, Theon, Bloodwind, you two go now!"

Feeling the weakness in his body, Robb didn't try to act tough. After making all the necessary arrangements, he waved Theon and Bloodwind off.

Theon had initially wanted to wait for Dacey and Catelyn to return before leaving, but Bloodwind jumped behind him and used its massive wolf head to nudge him toward the door.

Once Theon and Bloodwind had left, Robb's face suddenly twisted in anger. With what little strength he had, he pounded his fist against the edge of the solid wood bed.

His heart was filled with resentment; not toward others, but toward himself!

He hated his own arrogance, thinking he could overturn the game and rewrite his family's fate.

He hated his powerlessness, being utterly unable to fight back as the Three-Eyed Raven trapped him in that endless dream.

If it hadn't been for Theon and the others taking such careful care of him, he would have starved to death in that dream.

After venting his frustration, Robb knew that what had already happened couldn't be undone. Closing his eyes, he began to contemplate his next steps.

Before long, Catelyn rushed into Robb's room. When she saw him propped up against the headboard, she covered her mouth with her hands, silently sobbing.

With two sons having fallen into comas, her husband and daughters far from home, this mother had shouldered too much.

"Mother! Don't worry, from now on, I'll handle everything! I promise!"

Hearing the sound of her arrival, Robb opened his eyes, looked at Catelyn crying, and smiled as he spoke softly.

Catelyn heard his words, and her face showed a conflicted expression; smiling through her tears. She rushed to the bed, embracing Robb tightly.

After Theon had carried out all of Robb's orders, he, Bloodwind, Owen, and Smalljon set off on two horses, tracking the King's Road.

Now that Robb had woken up, the entire main keep was bustling as the servants prepared to attend to their lord.

No one noticed that a raven had silently taken flight into the sky.
