"Is he awake?"
"No....but..."
With his mind shrouded in darkness, a few voices seemed to murmur in Lucian's ears, buzzing for a few moments as he slowly opened his eyes.
Fluttering them, he looked towards the ceiling above.
'...I am alive.'
Lucian awoke, noticing that the ceiling belonged to his own room—a familiar sight—prompting him to conclude that he hadn't died on that cold ground.
He also felt slight relief in his thighs, indicating that the medications had been administered.
"Huh!? Young master is awake!"
A loud voice, belonging to one of the maids, reached Lucian, causing him to slowly lurch forward as he sat up in bed, observing the bandages covering his body.
He then turned in the direction of the door, noticing the fading back of the maid as she sprinted out of the room.
'...haa, it was unexpected.'
His mind felt much calmer now, considering the last memories he had.
