As she got closer, her eyes landed on an unexpected sight—a chubby teddy bear nestled against the ground at the tree's base, sitting in the same pose as her own teddy while engrossed in a book.

The gentle breeze ruffled its fur, revealing golden eyes that seemed completely focused on its reading, contrasting sharply with her own teddy, which appeared to simply stare ahead.

This was the first time in her life that Lulu had seen a living teddy bear concentrating on studies.

However, when she saw him looking at her before closing the book and standing on his own, it caused Lulu to instinctively utter.

"A wiv teddy beaw."

"Huh? An alive what?" Lucian wondered aloud, caught mid-stance while trying to process the little girl's words.

He had grown up in an orphanage, surrounded by children with various disabilities and speech impairments, so he was well-acquainted with deciphering broken sentences.
