Now that the day had finally arrived, the hint of sunlight breaking through the snow-covered landscape signaled the start of the morning.

A few carriages, carrying armored men, became visible as they approached the city gate, prompting the guard standing atop the wall to shout, "Open the gates! The Lord has arrived!"

The group entering was led by Count Vinlig, who held the reins of his horse.

As they passed through, their glimmering armor caught the dim sunlight peeking through the clouds, and they were seen carrying the carcasses of monsters—though lesser beasts than those they had previously brought back.

Instead of showing disappointment, the soldiers wore expressions that betrayed their eagerness.

Everyone was eager to enter the territory quickly, for today marked the birthday of young Master Lucian.

"Greetings, Count," said one of the servants from the mansion, bowing deeply along with two other maids.
