"Lyonya, are you okay?"
Leonid flinched a little as he snapped back to his senses and turned to look at him before glancing back at Mikhail's table.
"Huh… O—of course, I'm fine. I'm just surprised to see Mishka talking to a woman…" Leonid replied, his airily voice betrayed him that it was more than just a surprise. "Should we head to a different coffeehouse? I don't want him to feel embarrassed if he sees us here."
Rodion furrowed his brows at him. Despite saying that he didn't wish to get caught by Mikhail, his eyes were fixed at their table, to Nadeshda specifically.
"Are you sure you don't want him to see us?"
Leonid darted his eyes to Mikhail who was looking straight at the woman opposite him, intently listening to what she was saying. He sighed, trying to stay calm but his mind was a whirlwind of doubt and a series of possible scenarios.
He had not seen Mikhail talking to a woman before until now.
