Rodion watched as Mikhail turned his back to him and resumed on his way to his father's office. After Mikhail turned adn disappeared at the corner, Rodion waited for almost a minute before quietly following him.
He knew Mikhail had sharp senses, yet he didn't seem to notice him as he silently tailed behind. Rodion felt a sense of unease; something was clearly amiss. He continued to follow until he saw Mikhail reach hiss father's office, he knocked and enter, closing it behind him. Without wasting a moment, Rodion rushed to the door and pressed his ear against the cold wooden door, straining to listen. Almost immediately, he heard Mikhail's voice, followed by a loud thud, as if a chair had fallen to the floor.
"My Lord, I saw the prince unconscious on the ground outside the gate of his manor."
"What?!" His father's voice was panic-stricken; this piqued his curiosity even more, and he pressed even closer to the door.
