Chapter 79: A New Stage for Derek and Kylie

It was a quiet afternoon in Los Angeles, and Derek and Kylie were sitting on the deck of her house, watching Stormi and Aire playing in the garden. The children's laughter filled the air with joy, but Derek and Kylie had something important on their minds that day.

In the last few months, their relationship had become more serious, and they were both ready to take the next step: living together. However, before making the final decision, they wanted to make sure that Stormi and Aire would feel comfortable with the idea. Although Derek had already spent a lot of time at Kylie's house, moving in permanently was something that would need to be done carefully, especially to ensure that the children felt comfortable with the new family dynamic.

"I think it's time, Ky," Derek said, holding Kylie's hand as they both watched the children.

Kylie nodded, smiling.

"Yes, I do. I want us to be a real family, Derek. The kids already love you, but I want to make sure they're okay with this change," she replied, looking at him fondly.

Derek took a deep breath, knowing that this conversation with Stormi and Aire would be important. He didn't want the kids to feel pressured or confused, so they planned to approach the subject lightly, without causing tension.

"Shall we talk to them now?" Derek suggested.

"Yes, I think this is the perfect time," Kylie replied, standing up.

They went down to the garden and approached the kids, who were busy setting up a small race track with their toy cars. Derek crouched down next to Stormi and Aire, watching what they were doing, while Kylie sat down next to them.

"Wow, this track is looking amazing!" Derek said enthusiastically, catching their attention.

Stormi looked at him with a wide smile and Aire clapped her hands, excited by the compliment.

"Thank you, Derek! We worked really hard on it!" Stormi replied proudly.

"It looks like it!" But Daddy Derek has something important to talk to you about," Kylie said softly, setting the stage.

The children stopped playing and looked at Kylie and Derek curiously.

"What's wrong, Mommy?" Stormi asked, frowning.

Derek took a deep breath, trying to find the right words.

"Well, as you know, I spend a lot of time here with you and Mommy. And… I love spending time with you," he began, smiling at them. "But Mommy and I were wondering… what would you think if I moved here for good?"

Stormi looked at Derek for a moment, seeming to process the idea. Aire, being younger, just looked at Derek and Kylie curiously, not fully understanding the situation.

"You mean… are you going to live here forever?" Stormi asked, tilting her head to the side.

Kylie smiled, stroking Stormi's hair.

"Yes, sweetie." Derek is already part of our lives, and we thought it would be great if he lived with us for good, so we could be a complete family," Kylie explained.

Stormi was silent for a few seconds, then looked at Derek.

"I really like you, Derek... So, I think it would be great! You could play with us every day!" she said, with a wide smile.

Derek let out a light laugh, relieved by Stormi's answer.

"Of course, Stormi! I'll always be around to play with you and take care of all of us together," he replied, lightly touching her shoulder.

Aire, in turn, jumped a little in excitement and mumbled something that, although difficult to understand, seemed positive, which made everyone laugh.

"I think that's a yes from Aire," Derek said, amused.

Kylie laughed and leaned in to kiss Aire's head.

"Then it's settled." Derek is moving in and we'll be a complete family," Kylie declared with a smile, looking around at everyone.

Stormi was clearly excited about the idea. She hugged Derek tightly and then looked at her mother.

"Can he make us pancakes every day, Mommy?" she asked, her voice full of expectation.

Derek and Kylie laughed.

"Well, I don't know about every day, but I can make pancakes for breakfast on the weekend. Deal?" Derek suggested.

"Deal!" Stormi replied excitedly, jumping for joy.

Kylie, relieved by the positive reaction of the children, looked at Derek with a warm smile.

"I think we have an answer," she said, with a warm look.

Derek smiled back, feeling completely welcomed by this family. Although he had already felt like a part of Kylie and the kids' lives, knowing that Stormi and Aire were excited about him officially moving into their home made him feel like this was the right next step.

That night, after putting the kids to bed, Derek and Kylie were in the living room discussing the details of the move. They were excited about their new life stage and the possibility of all being together under the same roof.

"You know, Derek, I was thinking about how amazing it will be to have you here forever. You're a part of us, and now it's going to be official," Kylie said, lying on the couch, with her head in Derek's lap.

"I'm looking forward to it too, Ky. I've always wanted something like this, something stable and solid, and you give me that feeling of home," Derek replied, stroking her hair.

Kylie smiled, snuggling even closer.

"It's going to be perfect," she whispered, her eyes closed, relaxed.

Derek watched her for a few seconds, reflecting on how his life had changed in the last few months. He had found not only success in his career and new challenges, but also what he had always been looking for: a true and loving family.

The next day, they began to officially plan Derek's move to Kylie's house. He knew it was a new stage in his life, but he was ready to live it alongside the woman he loved and the children he already considered his own.

Together, they were ready to face the future and all its possibilities, certain that love and unity would be the foundation of everything.

Chapter 80: Derek's Move to Kylie's House

It was a sunny day in Los Angeles, and the action at Kylie's house was in full swing. Derek had finally started the process of moving into Kylie's house, and as expected, her sisters had volunteered to help. Kendall, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and even Kris were there, ready to organize things and make the process as smooth as possible. While Stormi and Aire played in the garden, inside the house, boxes came and went, being carefully organized in every corner.

Derek, who was always methodical, had already prepared everything in organized and labeled boxes. One of the boxes, in particular, caught the attention of Kylie's sisters as soon as they opened it. Inside was a collection of military items that Derek had accumulated throughout his career in the Marine Corps and MARSOC.

Kendall, curious as always, was the first to notice.

"What's this?" — she asked, holding up a shiny medal with a look of fascination.

Derek, who was arranging another box, looked at Kendall and smiled.

"Oh, that's the Navy Cross. It's the second highest military award a Marine can receive," he said, walking over to her.

Kendall looked at the medal with a mixture of admiration and surprise.

"And you got this? Wow, that's amazing, Derek!" she exclaimed, her eyes shining.

Kim approached, also curious.

"How many medals do you have?" she asked, looking at the box.

Derek shrugged, a little humble.

"A few. I've never really counted, but most of them were for operations I participated in while I was on combat missions," he replied, trying to divert attention from his achievements.

Kim, however, wouldn't let the subject go so easily. She began to take other medals and insignia from the box, looking closely at each one.

"I always knew you were an amazing man, Derek, but this… this is on another level!" Kim said, impressed.

Kylie, who was organizing some books on the shelf, looked at the scene and smiled. She had always known Derek to be modest about his accomplishments, but she was happy to see her sisters recognizing how talented and dedicated he was.

"Derek, you never talk much about this part of your life," Kylie said, walking over and picking up one of the medals. "That must have been quite an experience."

Derek gave a small smile and nodded. "It was. But, you know, I've never really talked about it. For me, it's all about the people I served with and what we did together. These medals are a reflection of teamwork, not just me," he explained, trying to keep his tone light.

Kourtney, who had been standing further away, picked up one of the military uniforms that was neatly folded in the box. She ran her hand over the fabric, noticing the name "Rogan" embroidered on the chest and the MARSOC emblem on the arm.

"You must have so many stories from that time, Derek. I bet it's not every day we see a uniform like that," Kourtney said in awe.

Derek laughed, a little awkwardly.

"Oh, yes, there are some stories. But they're not all as glamorous as they seem. The work was hard, demanding, but I had an incredible team behind me," he replied, as he took the uniform from her hands and carefully folded it again.

Khloe, who was rummaging through another box of old photos, pulled out an album full of images from Derek's time in the military. She opened the album and started flipping through the pages, seeing pictures of Derek with his team, in the field, training, and on missions.

"Look at this! You with your team... who are these people?" — Khloe asked, pointing to a photo of Derek standing next to other Marines, all with tired but satisfied smiles.

Derek walked over and looked at the photo, a nostalgic gleam in his eyes.

"These are my brothers in arms. This photo was taken after one of the hardest missions we've ever done. We were exhausted, but happy to have accomplished the mission. Some of these guys are still my friends to this day," he said, with a hint of longing in his voice.

Kris, who had been watching everything in silence until then, finally spoke up.

"I knew you were impressive, Derek, but seeing all this makes me understand how deep your story is. I really admire what you did for your country," Kris said, with a sincere smile.

Derek smiled at her, grateful for her words.

"Thank you, Kris. I did what I thought was right, and these experiences shaped me. But honestly, I'm glad I found a new phase of my life here, with you guys. That's what matters to me right now," he replied, looking lovingly at Kylie.

Kylie smiled, feeling proud of Derek and everything he represented.

"And we're glad to have you with us, Derek. I know this change is big, but I can't wait to start this new stage together," she said, holding his hand.

Kylie's sisters continued to explore the box, asking questions about the photos, medals, and uniforms. Each new discovery seemed to reveal a different side of Derek's life, and he patiently answered each question, sharing stories from his years of service.

Eventually, they finished organizing all the boxes, placing Derek's military belongings in a special place he had set aside in the guest room, where he could keep and remember his story, but also move forward with his new life with Kylie and the kids.

"I think I need a private military history lesson, Derek," Kendall joked, laughing as she looked at the last few photos she had pulled from the box.

Derek laughed, shaking his head.

"Maybe one day, Kendall. But for now, I think we have other priorities," he replied, winking at Kylie.

The day ended with everyone feeling more connected and learning even more about Derek's story. For Kylie, it was comforting to see her sisters and mother grow closer to Derek. They were ready for a new phase, knowing that together they could face whatever the future brought.

And now, with Derek officially living in the house, he knew he was starting a new chapter, one he couldn't wait to write with the woman he loved and the children he already considered his own.

Chapter 81: Derek's Super Breakfast

Derek's first day officially living at Kylie's house arrived, and he woke up earlier than everyone else, feeling the excitement of this new phase in their lives. The sun was still rising, and the soft light invaded the kitchen as he moved silently, already planning what he would do to surprise his new family with a special breakfast.

With a determined smile, he began to prepare everything. Derek had always been excellent in the kitchen, and that day he wanted every detail to be perfect. Fresh breads, fruits, natural juices, scrambled eggs, pancakes with berries, crispy bacon and even some sweet treats were on the menu. He remembered every detail of Kylie, Stormi and Aire's tastes, knowing exactly what each of them liked.

As the delicious smell of food began to fill the house, Derek heard light footsteps in the hallway. He looked towards the entrance to the kitchen and saw Kylie, still in her pajamas, her hair a little messy, but with a warm smile.

"Good morning, love." You're up early! — she said, hugging Derek from behind as he flipped one of the pancakes in the pan.

Derek turned to look at her, planting a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Good morning, my love. I thought it would be a good idea to start the day with a great breakfast to celebrate this new phase of our life," he said with a wide smile.

Kylie looked around, surprised and delighted by what she saw.

"Wow, Derek, this is amazing! You really did a great job," she said, her eyes shining with joy.

"Only the best for the three of you," he replied with a wink, before turning to finish preparing.

Soon after, quick and excited footsteps echoed through the house. Stormi ran into the kitchen, with her curly hair loose and a huge smile on her face.

"Daddy Derek, what are you making?" she asked, excited to see all the food spread out on the table.

Derek laughed and bent down to pick her up.

— I'm making a special breakfast for my little girl. Are you hungry? — he asked, while spinning Stormi in the air, making her laugh.

— Yes! I love pancakes! — she shouted, laughing as Derek put her back on the floor.

Aire was the next to appear, being carried by Kylie, still half asleep, but clearly attracted by the smell of food. Derek smiled when he saw the little one, reaching out to pick him up.

— And you, champ? Are you ready to eat? — Derek asked, holding Aire affectionately.

The little one, still not talking much, responded with a smile and extended his little hands to Derek, as if he already knew something good was coming.

With everyone gathered, Derek finished putting the last dishes on the table, making sure there was something to please everyone. Kylie looked at him in admiration, while Stormi was already eyeing the pancakes, impatient to start eating.

— Come on, guys. Time to enjoy it," Derek said, pulling out Kylie's chair and then helping Stormi settle into her own.

Breakfast began with light conversation and laughter, as Stormi excitedly told stories about her toys and what she wanted to do later. Aire, with her adorable expression and curious eyes, watched everything around, giggling slightly while Derek made funny faces to entertain him.

"Derek, you really outdid yourself," Kylie said between bites of pancakes, her eyes shining with joy. "I can't believe you did all this so soon. I'm so glad you're here with us, for good."

Derek looked at her with a soft smile.

"I just wanted to show you how grateful I am for this new phase we're starting together. The three of you mean everything to me right now, and I'm ready to make this the best chapter of our lives," he replied, holding Kylie's hand across the table.

Stormi, with pancake syrup smeared on her face, interrupted with a giggle.

— Daddy Derek, you make the best breakfast ever! — she exclaimed, enthusiastically bringing a fork of pancakes to her mouth.

Kylie laughed, running her hand through her daughter's hair.

— She's right. I don't know how we're going to top this every day — she joked.

Derek laughed, shaking his head.

— Don't worry, I'll think of something different. But I can't promise it'll be this extravagant every day — he replied, winking at Stormi.

Aire, now more awake, began to tap his little hands on the table, clearly wanting to join in the conversation. Derek, always attentive, took a small piece of fruit and offered it to the little one, who ate it with a satisfied smile.

— So, what do you guys want to do today? — Derek asked, looking at Kylie and the kids.

Kylie smiled, looking at the little ones.

— I think a quiet day at home would be perfect. We can watch some children's movies and relax together. Maybe later we can take a walk in the garden with them — she suggested.

Derek nodded.

— Sounds perfect. After a breakfast like this, I think we all deserve a quiet day with the family," he agreed, pleased with the suggestion.

The morning continued with the lightness of a family in tune. Between relaxed conversations and games with the children, Derek felt a sense of fulfillment he had never experienced before. As he watched Kylie help Stormi clean her face of syrup and laughed with Aire trying to grab the food with her little hands, he realized how much his life had changed for the better.

Now, he was here, with a woman he loved deeply and two children he already considered his own. There were no more battles to fight, dangerous missions or uncertainties about the future. What mattered now was to enjoy these simple but precious moments with the people he loved most.

When they finished breakfast, Derek helped Kylie clear the table, while the children ran around the garden, laughing and playing. It was the beginning of a new phase, and Derek knew he was exactly where he was supposed to be.

He looked at Kylie as she washed the dishes, and for a moment, everything seemed perfect. He came up behind her and wrapped her in a hug, gently kissing her neck.

"I love you, Kylie," he said, sincerely and lovingly.

She turned to him, her eyes meeting his with the same intensity.

"I love you too, Derek. I'm so happy we're starting this new phase together," she replied with a sweet smile.

Derek smiled back, knowing that this was just the beginning of many happy mornings together, surrounded by the people he loved most. The house, once just home to Kylie and her children, was now home to all of them, a family united and ready to build a bright future together.
