It has been three years since I arrived to this dreadful world.....
HOW HAVE I NOT HEARD EVEN A SINGLE PEICE OF VITAL INFORMATION!!
Apparently, people don't like to talk about politics in front of kids, but, they sure love to talk of how much they love Victor Wolfe...HE IS MARRIED FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!
Anyways, I have been thinking on how to start my swordsmanship training and thankfully, I was able to get information on that.
I need to find Edward Flight.
Edward Flight was the teacher of Hayden Syllister in the terms of swordsmanship and magic prowess. After getting tired of King Richard's atrocities and making his aim to bring him down, he ran away from Syllister ( Richard's empire ) to the neighbouring nation of Grumwick, and plotted the fall of the evil king.
Hayden Syllister fell into his care after he found him, wounded, and trained him to get revenge on Victor and overthrow Richard, his father.
If I do avoid killing Hayden's mother, there will be no reason for Hayden to wander into ther forest where Edward finds him.
As long as I can find him first, I can get my training from him, but, also become the person that connects him and Hayden!
Right now, he still must be in this empire because he didn't leave until after Hayden was born so.....
"Dad, I want to go to the palace."
"What? Why?"
"Wouldn't you rather stay here with and play with your brother? Plus...you might get bored there."
He is not going to budge like this. It is understandable as he wouldn't want his son to be exposed to the bad aura of his cousin and on top of that, it might give Richard some sort of upper hand on my father if he somehow able to turn me from a young age. I am going to have to try a new strategy....
"But Dad....you always go to the palace and I can not even play with you everyday because you are always away..."
Parental deprivement might do it....he looks sad, I think he is about to give in..
"I am sorry son, I have not been able to play with much lately.....but the palace is a very dangerous place and...."
Puppy eyes, don't fail me now...
"Uhhh....."
Come on....just a little more..
"Sigh....okay, I will take you to the palace, but, you have to promise to behave and always stay with me alright because you can get lost."
"Yes Dad, I will! I will be a good boy!"
Dad said that we will go to the palace tommorrow. This is my chance to find Edward, but I have to be discreet. The least thing I want to do is alert Richard and cause the Ducal family's death before time and die along with them.
The Next Day...
I have arrived at the palace, so the first thing I have to do is find Edward Flight....
BUT HOW WILL I DO THAT LIKE THIS!!!
Ever since we have arrived at the palace, my father has not let go of my hand. How am I going to find Edward like this?!I can't just tell him my plan!
You might think it would be easier, but really it is not. Then I would have to explain to him how I got to know of him because only a handful of people know of him as the Head of the King's Guard!
We have been walking for a long time....I wonder where we are going
"Your Majesty, Duke Wolfe of Esmald and his son Felix Wolfe, ask for your audiance."
WHAT!!! Why am I meeting the King now?!!
When we entered the room, the first thing I notice is how ugly the King is....My, Hayden's mom was said to be beautiful....how did she fall for HIM?
But, beside the king was....Edward Flight!! I guess finding him is much easier than I thought.
"Victor, how nice to see you after so long." Yeah right you dimwit.
"Greetings, The Sun of the Empire...I apologise for not coming to greet you much earlier."
"But Dad, I thought you came here every day....so how is it that that you never see this uncle everyday too?"
You might be thinking, what the heck am I doing, trying to get my dad caught lying...and truthfully, I don't know either. But, this move can go two very different ways, me dying with my family or....get the attention of Richard....If you are wondering why, just wait and watch..
"Ahh, i suppose this is your son Victor. I beleive you haven't taught him proper palace etiquette."
I think it is leaning on the first option.....Ohhh no...
"Come here child.."
I look up at my father and he looks quite worried, but he has to consent as Richard IS the King, so he lets go of my hand.
I walk towards him and he then pulls me close and holds my hands for some time while he closes his eyes....he then opens his eyes in a startling way.
"Victor, this is quite the son you have got here. He is nothing like your first one who is so incompetent." I look back at my father and he looks absolutely PISSED. As he should, hisson was just insulted.
"It seems to me that your son has great potential." He stands up from his throne and continues...
"I will be taking charge of his training as a warrior.....I don't trust those knights you've got back in your Duchy. Do you agree?"
"Your Majesty, if I may.."
"Mhm, do you..Agree?"
"Yes, Your Majesty.."
"Good, all is settled then. I will be putting Edward, my Head of Guard, incharge of your son's training. He will be training you everyday, and for your convinience, I will be sending him to you. That is all."
Then he left the room.
YES!! I GOT WHAT I WANTED!!! NOW I CAN MOVE FORWARD!!
The only question I have is why would Richard send his Head of Guard, his most skilled warrior (not as skilled as my dad) just to teach me.....I am going to have to look into it because nothing Richard does has a good outcome....
I am sitting in the carriage to go back home and....IT IS SO AWKWARD!!
I am sitting with my dad and he is not even saying a single world...
"Dad....are you angry with me? If you are, I am sorry, I didn't want to disappoint you."
He looked at me and said "No son, I am not angry with you, I am.....just thinking. Nothing for you to be worried about."
He said that with one of the kindest faces I had ever seen. I know he is just hiding the fact that he knows that Richard is plotting something, but he doesn't know what.
Let's see what happens next.
Sigh...it was quite an eventful day. It is nighttime now and I have my first day of training tommorrow, so I better rest up.

Back in the palace.....
"Your Majesty, what did you see that made you send Edward to the Wolfes? If Felix Wolfe becomes a good warrior, the Wolfe family might end up overthrowing you..."
"I do hope that kid becomes a good warrior. That kid has the greatest magical prowess that I have ever seen, and....if I get him on my side, my goal will become so much easier. Don't you think so, Asmodeus?"
