I paused time and moved a short distance away from her. Then I resumed time and began walking towards her, hoping to create an accidental encounter.
I watched as she approached, noticing the tears in her eyes as she dragged her trolley bag behind her. As I reached her, I used my telekinesis to trip her, causing her to fall. Reacting swiftly, I caught her in my arms, wanting to ensure she felt supported in that moment.
I looked into her eyes, noticing the shock mixed with a hint of admiration as she took in my appearance. With a concerned tone, I asked, "Ms., are you okay? Did you get hurt? I'm really sorry—I didn't pay attention and bumped into you."
As she listened, it seemed like she was processing what just happened. Slowly, she came to her senses and tried to pull away from my embrace. I could sense her embarrassment.
I let go of her and maintained a distance from her, observing her watery eyes and asking knowingly in a concerned voice, "Ms., are you really okay?"
She felt my worry and care for her, and a stream of tears spilled from her eyes because she found out about her husband's infidelity today and walked out of Gana's house, not knowing where to go. When she saw me, a stranger, asking her about herself with concern and care, she felt touched.
She raised her hands to wipe away her tears and glanced at me, saying, "Don't worry, I am not hurt at all, I am fine."
I looked at her and asked gently, "If you're okay, why are you crying? You don't look good while crying."
She hesitated for a moment before saying, "I... It's just that I wasn't having a good day." It felt like she was trying to cover up her true feelings with an excuse.
I could tell she wasn't ready to talk about her husband, so I quickly changed the subject.
While gesturing towards her bag, I asked, "Are you going somewhere? Why don't I drop you off?" Without waiting for her to respond, I added, "You don't have to refuse; just think of it as my apology for bumping into you."
With that said, I quickly paused time, feeling the familiar rush of adrenaline as everything around me stilled. I flew over to a distance where I could still see Padma, landing softly on the ground. Carefully, I accessed the SYSTEM STORAGE and retrieved my car.
With a swift motion, I placed it on the side of the road as if it had been parked there all along.
I flew back to Padma's side and restarted time, watching as the world around us came to life again. I pointed to my car parked a short distance down the road. "That's my car over there," I said, keeping my tone casual and friendly.
While she was thinking of what to say, I grabbed her bag and walked toward my car. Padma walked beside me, looking a bit distracted. When I reached my car, I placed the trolley bag in the back seat and opened the passenger door for Padma to get in.
After allowing her in, I sat behind the wheel and started the car. As I glanced at Padma sitting there absentmindedly, I realized that many movies had romance scenes in which the hero puts on the heroine's seatbelt.
I decided to reenact that scene in which I was the main character. When I approached Padma and looked at her, she believed I was going to kiss her and reach out to play with her hair. I then pulled the seat belt. Teasing her like that was a lot of pleasure.
After putting on her seat belt, I asked, "Where to?" which means where she wants me to go.
I watched as she listened to my question, tears welling up in her eyes before she began to sob. It was clear she didn't want to go back to her mother's house, yet she seemed lost, uncertain of where to turn next.
I gently reached out and wiped her tears away with my thumbs, then softly said, "Don't worry, you don't have to go anywhere. Let me take you somewhere instead."
Without waiting for her response, I started the car and headed toward a nearby coffee shop. My plan was to offer her something warm to drink, hoping it would soothe her, before taking her shopping and later to a movie to help take her mind off things.
Soon, we arrived at the coffee shop. I stepped out of the car, opened the door for her, and gently took her hand as we walked inside. I ordered two cups of coffee, and we sat by the window. Looking at Padma, I smiled and said, "Don't overthink things. Just enjoy the coffee—it'll help calm your emotions." I gestured toward the steaming cups on the table.
"Beautiful lady," I said with a warm smile, "We've talked so much, but we haven't even introduced ourselves yet. Let me go first." I introduced myself, and Padma followed suit, sharing her name as well.
I made a few light-hearted jokes along the way, hoping to make her laugh, and soon we finished our coffee. Afterward, I gently took her hand and led her toward the clothing store. Though she was hesitant and didn't want to buy anything, I walked up to the shopping attendant and asked them to pick out a few clothes for Padma to try on.
Turning to her, I smiled and said, "I told you, don't think too much—just enjoy yourself." I could see the nervousness in her eyes, so I gently reassured her, hoping to ease her tension.
I asked Padma to try on a few outfits, and each one she wore seemed to highlight her natural beauty. She looked stunning in everything, but when she stepped out in a sleek, western-style dress that subtly highlighted her legs, I couldn't help but admire how gorgeous she looked. It was a look that suited her perfectly.
Padma noticed my expression and, for a brief moment, our eyes met. I could tell she felt a rush of happiness and excitement as if she was pleased to see me appreciating her in such a way.
Without waiting for her to change back into her previous outfit, I asked Padma if she would wear the new dress today. She smiled and agreed. I paid for all the clothes she had tried on, asking the staff to have them delivered to my car parked outside.
