Zeno nodded.
"Ron's ability, to be honest, is quite unique. I can't fully understand it just yet."
"But for the Zoldyck family, having someone with such innate talent appear again is indeed a good thing."
On the other side.
Milluki looked at his hands, eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Is this aura?"
"Ron used this to kill those death row inmates?"
"And what kind of ability will I have?"
Milluki already knew he was a Manipulator but hadn't yet developed a specific ability.
---
Nina approached Ron.
"Big brother, I've made up my mind."
"Hm?"
"I don't want Kyler to harass me anymore. I want to get stronger as quickly as possible, so that when Kyler comes again, I can defeat and drive him away, ensuring I never see him again."
"Good luck."
Ron smiled, but he could sense that things wouldn't be so simple.
For Nina to grow stronger, it would take time.
And the fact that Kyler dared to come over here, especially after seeing Ron, and didn't leave the vicinity of Heaven's Arena meant he surely had something up his sleeve.
---
Back in his room.
Ron focused his thoughts, and Chii's figure appeared.
"Try to monitor Kyler's movements."
Now that Chii had a mobile phone, there was no need for her to connect to a network physically.
She could connect to the internet from anywhere.
Tracking Kyler's movements wouldn't be difficult.
Living near Heaven's Arena, Kyler would certainly use electronic devices.
And as long as Kyler used them, there was a chance for Chii to monitor him.
---
Outside.
Nina was training her Nen abilities.
Shizuku and White Bear sat by the window.
Through the large window, they looked outside.
Shizuku stretched out her hand, seemingly wanting to grasp the clouds in the sky.
"Outside... it's nice."
In the shadows, a figure hid in the corner, looking towards Heaven's Arena, eyes filled with malice.
"Ron!"
Kyler glared at the building.
"It's all because of you that Nina left me."
"If it weren't for you, Nina would never had faltered and left me. I wouldn't have lost my abilities."
"I wouldn't have become a useless wreck!"
"I have to kill you."
"As long as I kill you, Nina will surely come back to me!"
Kyler pulled his gaze back, retreating into the shadows.
"A mere kid, even if he's a Nen user, with some decent talent, as long as I prepare well enough, killing him shouldn't be difficult."
"However, making a move inside Heaven's Arena could be tricky."
"I need to think of a way."
"I'll have to draw him out."
"And I'll have to use Nina as the means to do so."
---
While training, Nina felt her phone vibrate.
A call came in from an unknown number.
Nina picked up her phone and answered.
"Lina."
Kyler's voice came through.
Nina's expression instantly turned cold, and she immediately hung up.
Hearing the disconnected tone, Kyler's face darkened, becoming unpleasant.
"Lina, are you now refusing to even take your father's call?"
Unwilling to give up, Kyler tried calling again.
But this time, Nina didn't even answer—she hung up directly.
On the third attempt, Nina added the number to her blocked list.
After a moment of silence, Kyler switched to another phone and called Nina's number again.
This time, Kyler used words that would catch Nina's attention.
"I want to talk about your mother."
Hearing this, Nina, who was about to hang up, paused.
"What do you want to say?"
"Lina, what happened before was my fault. I did those terrible things to you for the sake of power. I'm no better than a beast. You hate me as your father, and you have every right to."
Kyler continued, "I won't keep bothering you. I just wanted to tell you some things about your mother."
"And also, I have some of your mother's belongings that I want to give to you."
"Those things rightfully belong to you."
Kyler knew Nina valued family ties deeply.
Even after all he had done, Nina initially didn't harbour hatred for him.
Under these circumstances, it was likely that Nina felt a strong attachment to her mother.
Even though Nina's mother had vanished long ago.
Nina stayed silent for a while.
Kyler's voice became anxious for a moment.
"You can tell me about my mother over the phone. As for her belongings, you can just mail them."
"No," Kyler shook his head. "These matters are too important; they need to be discussed in person. And her belongings can't be mailed—they must be handed over face-to-face."
"If you're still uneasy about meeting me, we can meet near Heaven's Arena. You can leave whenever you want and return to the arena."
Nina rejected Kyler's proposal.
"I won't meet with you."
"Then are you giving up on your mother's last words and belongings?" Kyler asked.
"If you're still not comfortable, you don't have to come yourself. You can send Ron instead. He's much stronger than I am, and I've lost my powers."
"With my current strength, I pose no threat to Ron."
Bringing up her mother's matters was Kyler's way of catching Nina's attention.
This whole process was a negotiation.
Kyler's initial request for Nina to meet in person was just a high bid.
But Kyler knew Nina would never agree to that.
His real goal was to lure Ron out.
This was Kyler's minimum price.
By starting high and dropping to his true demand, he figured the chances of Nina agreeing—and therefore Ron as well—would increase.
"Someone as young as Ron, with his level of power, is bound to be talented."
"Thus, he's likely very proud."
"I've lost my abilities, so Ron wouldn't consider me a real opponent."
"He'd probably dismiss my current level of strength."
"The odds of him coming are high." (t/N Well at least he isn't a total idiot)
Kyler's eyes glinted.
"It's a pity about that last time. Just as I noticed Ron, he was already near the entrance of Heaven's Arena. If I'd seen him earlier, I could've made my move."
"And I wouldn't have to go through all this trouble today."
Nina considered for a moment, then hung up the phone.
But this time, Kyler wasn't impatient.
On the contrary, he even smiled.
Hearing movement, Ron walked out of his room.
"Nina, is something wrong?"
Nina hesitated.
"Just say it; we're part of the same team now."
Ron had already guessed. The only person who could make Nina act like this was Kyler.
"It was a call from Kyler," Nina said. "He claims he has my mother's last words and belongings and wants to give them to me in person. He asked me to meet him near Heaven's Arena."
"Your mother's last words and belongings? Do you think it's true?"
"I don't know, but I don't intend to go."
Nina had thought about it for a long time and decided not to mention Kyler's request. Even though Kyler was weaker than Ron, Nina felt something was off.
As much as she wanted her mother's last words and belongings, she didn't want to put Ron in danger.
Just then, Kyler's number appeared on her phone again.
Seeing it, Nina didn't answer.
"Nina, why aren't you answering?"
Nina shook her head.
