Chapter 45 - Chapter 45

But there was no time to think it through.

The powerful explosive shock forced Cole to slam against the ceiling, crushing his internal organs.

He suffered massive internal bleeding.

When he hit the ground, blood flowed from all seven of his orifices.

After confirming Cole was dead, Ron snapped a photo of Cole's corpse.

Then, he moved Cole's body to another location.

He promptly submitted the mission report.

Soon, officials from the prison arrived.

"Ding dong!"

One hundred million Jenny transferred successfully.

Ron glanced at it and then looked away.

"Next."

(T/N: Well, I stand corrected; they just wanted to make it more intense.)

---

"This person's combat talent is indeed impressive."

"Even without Nen abilities, he managed to reach a bounty that made the prison officials wary."

"Thus, this assassin fell to him."

"The assassin's techniques are very strong."

"And he's cold-blooded enough."

"A person like this, if he were to go to the Sky Arena and undergo the rookie baptism, would undoubtedly become a very powerful Nen user, far exceeding Isaiah."

"He might even reach the level of a Phantom Troupe member."

"Because this guy is a freak, just like Hisoka."

Hisoka is a freak, and so is Cole.

However, the two have some differences.

Their perversions are not the same.

"But now he's dead, so there's nothing more to discuss."

Ron pulled out the map and marked a red dot with an X.

He then looked at another city on the map.

"It seems there are connections among these death row inmates."

"From Cole's previous statements, it's evident that they seem to be playing some kind of game."

"However, their relationships aren't that great."

"Among the five death row inmates, it's likely that at least one has Nen abilities."

"But Cole didn't."

Ron's eyes flickered for a moment.

"No matter what, I need to find the next death row inmate!"

To speed things up, Ron hired a car. The airship had fixed departure times, and the location where Frankski was situated was in a nearby city. Taking a car would be much more convenient.

"Little kid, are you alone?"

Ron nodded.

"There will be someone waiting for me at my destination. Please drive faster."

The driver smiled.

"Okay, then hold on tight."

Ron closed his eyes, feeling the bumps of the car.

He sensed a faint malice emanating from the driver.

It was an instinct.

Previously, Ron had felt this vaguely, but it hadn't been so strong.

Or perhaps those who had malice towards him before had been more obvious; Ron could see them directly without needing to rely on instinct.

"It's somewhat similar to Gon's instincts."

Ron remembered that in the original plot, Gon had displayed such instincts several times.

This wasn't a power.

It was a talent.

Not every strong person possesses this talent; most rely solely on experience.

However, those who have this talent are likely to become strong.

"Because he sees me alone, he has thoughts of robbing me?"

"Or maybe he's thinking of killing me?"

Ron's eyes flickered.

Two hours later, Ron's breathing began to steady, and he appeared to be asleep. The driver glanced at Ron through the rearview mirror and then looked ahead.

Gradually, the car's speed decreased.

It slowed to a steady pace.

The driver seemed reluctant to let Ron wake up.

Eventually, the car came to a complete stop.

The driver opened the car door but didn't approach the back seat; instead, he made a phone call.

"New goods have arrived, and they look good. Do you want them? They'll definitely fetch a good price with the nobles!"

Ron raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Human traffickers?"

Not long after, the people who came to back him up arrived.

A group of individuals approached the back of the car and opened the door, but Ron was already gone.

"Where is he?"

"What does this mean?"

The driver's expression changed drastically.

These guys were not innocent people. He had called them here, but now Ron was nowhere to be found. This meant he had played them for fools.

How would they treat him now?

"Hey, who dares to play us for fools?"

"Looking for death!"

Ron stood above, watching the crowd beat the driver below.

At this rate, even if the driver survived, he would at least end up paralyzed.

And in this desolate place, with no one around to help him, he would likely be eaten by passing wild dogs.

Ron's figure flickered and vanished.

When he reappeared, he had already entered the city.

Compared to the city where the Sky Arena was located, this one was much smaller and far less prosperous.

It wasn't yet midnight, but only a few lights remained on.

"Ding dong!"

A message popped up.

Ron glanced at it; it was an update from Milluki regarding the location of the death row inmate.

Previously, Frankski was staying at a hotel, but now, it had changed to a boxing gym, where Frankski was disguising himself as part of the gym.

"Concentrate!"

Ron arrived outside the boxing gym.

He quickly confirmed his target.

A faint aura surrounded a young man.

He had short, golden hair and a strong physique.

"Sure enough, he's a Nen user."

At that moment, Frankski's phone suddenly rang.

Frankski frowned, picked up the phone, and answered it.

His expression shifted as he glanced around, discreetly packing his things, and preparing to leave.

"Has he received the news?"

"Or does he know his location has been leaked?"

"But unfortunately for him, I've already arrived!"

From Frankski's displayed demeanour and aura, Ron had assessed his level.

He was an E-class Nen user.

Unless he had some hidden abilities, he posed no threat to Ron.

Frankski exited the boxing gym.

A car pulled up.

Frankski got into the car.

"Drive faster!"

At that moment.

"Bang!"

The sound of a heavy object crashing down was heard.

Frankski's face changed.

The next moment, the car exploded.

The car exploded, and Frankski didn't manage to escape before the blast.

The entire vehicle was turned upside down.

The driver died on the spot.

A figure crawled out of the wreckage, covered in soot.

"Is he still alive?"

After crawling out, Frankski immediately made his way toward a nearby alley.

He reached a corner, leaned against the garbage, and cautiously scanned his surroundings. Once he confirmed no one was around, he finally let out a sigh of relief.

However, just at that moment, Ron's figure appeared at the entrance of the alley.

A pink silhouette stood beside Ron.
