Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

"Good."

Silva looked at the boy.

"Follow me."

"Ron, you come along too."

The three of them headed up the mountain.

They walked until they reached an area where no one was watching, and Silva stopped.

Silva took out a sheepskin scroll from his pocket.

Then, he opened it.

"Shinji, sign your name here."

The boy stepped forward, bit his finger, and signed his name.

Silva handed the sheepskin scroll to Ron.

"From today onward, Shinji, you will be Ron's exclusive butler and will obey all of Ron's commands."

"Yes."

Shinji walked to Ron's side, took two steps back, and stood slightly below Ron.

Ron glanced at the sheepskin scroll in his hand.

"Uncle Silva, is this a Nen Tool?"

"That's right."

The so-called Nen Tool is an object infused with Nen, different from ordinary items because it has many unusual effects due to Nen.

In this world, one of the more famous Nen Tools is the Dark Sonata.

Once played, whether the player or the listener, they will fall into a state of madness.

Even a slight exposure can have extremely serious consequences.

The severe outcome could lead to direct death.

Ron remembered that in the original storyline, Kurapika had a partner named Melody.

Before listening to the Dark Sonata, she was a beautiful girl.

However, after listening to it and miraculously surviving, her appearance became quite ugly.

She looked like a gopher.

"Once Shinji signs his name on the sheepskin scroll, he will be forever loyal to you."

Ron nodded.

"Thank you, Uncle Silva."

"No need for thanks. This is just something that a member of the Zoldyck family should have."

Silva said, "In the backyard, I've already had someone build a separate courtyard for you. You can take Shinji there; he can help you manage the courtyard when you leave the estate."

"I have a few other matters to attend to, so I won't accompany you."

Ron nodded.

"Okay."

Watching Silva turn and leave, Ron withdrew his gaze and looked at Shinji.

"Shinji."

"Yes, Master Ron."

Shinji bowed his head, his attitude very respectful.

"Let's go."

"Yes."

As they walked, Ron asked, "Where were you before coming to the Zoldyck estate? What about your family?"

"Replying to Master Ron, I come from Meteor City, and I have no family."

"Meteor City?"

Ron slightly raised his eyebrows.

However, this was expected; many people in the Zoldyck estate came from Meteor City.

"Yes."

"Can you tell me about Meteor City?"

"It's just a garbage dump; you wouldn't be interested, Master Ron. Being able to leave Meteor City and come to the Zoldyck estate is my fortune. I will be forever loyal to you, Master Ron."

"No, I'm a bit interested; tell me more."

"Yes."

Shinji spoke slowly.

The overall situation was about what Ron had expected, but in terms of details, Shinji was much clearer.

It was indeed a place filled with garbage and foul smells, where people would kill each other over a moldy piece of bread.

But Ron could sense that Shinji didn't harbor entirely negative feelings towards Meteor City.

This made Ron recall something.

Because the people from Meteor City faced unfair treatment in the outside world, they retaliated with extremely harsh actions.

Meteor City was likely very degenerate most of the time.

Due to the lack of food, many unimaginable things happened to those on the outside.

However, at certain times, the people from Meteor City could be surprisingly united.

Before long, Ron arrived at his own courtyard.

A brand-new courtyard that had just been built recently.

Previously, Ron had been living in Maha Zoldyck's courtyard.

"Shinji, from today onward, you will be the butler of this courtyard. This courtyard will be your home."

"Yes, Master Ron."

Shinji stood at the doorway, gazing at the vast courtyard, somewhat lost in thought.

Ron walked in.

The furniture was all complete, but it lacked a bit of liveliness.

In such a large courtyard, it was just Ron and Shinji.

"It would be good to let Shinji come over."

At first, Shinji didn't think much of Ron.

However, after sparring with Ron twice, he realized the gap between them and grew to respect Ron, feeling grateful to him for giving him a chance to survive.

"Shinji is quite perceptive."

"He has some abilities as well."

"Now that Shinji has opened his aura nodes and learned Nen, in a real fight, Sangitis wouldn't stand a chance against Shinji."

"Letting Shinji plant some flowers and plants in the courtyard would also be fine."

"It'll add some liveliness."

Ron found Kien and told him about his arrangement for Sanji.

"Okay, Master Ron, I'll have Shinji come over right away."

Ron entered his room.

This was the largest bedroom on the second floor, with the best view.

"Killer Queen"

A pink figure appeared.

Ron handed the sheepskin scroll to Killer Queen.

"Put this away."

Inside the body of the Killer Queen, there exists a space that can store items.

By keeping the sheepskin scroll here, no one besides Ron would be able to find it.

Once the Killer Queen stored the sheepskin scroll, Ron thought about it, and the Killer Queen's form vanished.

"Shinji should have just learned Nen not long ago."

Ron stood by the window, looking downstairs.

Shinji had already arrived.

When he saw Shinji, he was momentarily taken aback, but upon seeing Shinji's attire, he realized Shinji's identity, and his attitude slightly changed.

Now He had come to understand.

Compared to the Zoldyck family, his own dojo and his achievements outside were hardly worth mentioning.

Even the butler of the Zoldyck estate was not someone he could afford to offend.

--

"Master Ron."

Shinji looked up and saw Ron on the second floor.

Ron nodded slightly.

"The name Shinji reminds me of someone."

Ron recalled the samurai named Oda Shinji.

And thinking of Oda Shinji, he couldn't help but think of Oda Nobunaga.

"Shinji, Nobunaga…"

"Considering this, it's highly likely that Shinji is related to Nobunaga Chahama."

"One family; first, they abandoned Nobunaga in Meteor City, and many years later, they abandoned Shinji in Meteor City as well."

In the following days, Ron assigned tasks to both Shinji and Sangitis .

Sangitis was mainly responsible for the affairs of the courtyard.

Shinji's primary job was to provide Ron with remote intelligence support.

As for Ron himself, he was preparing to leave the Zoldyck estate.

The absorption of the Observer's extreme intent regarding the characteristics of the Zoldyck estate was complete.

If Ron continued to stay at the Zoldyck estate, he wouldn't be able to obtain a second Nen beast.

He needed to head to the next location.

Having an additional and different Nen beast meant Ron would have one more ability.

With one more ability, Ron's overall strength would increase.

Moreover, Ron could sense it.

Once the Observer's extreme intent absorbed enough characteristics and created a Nen beast, he would receive feedback.
