After Rolla's disappearance from his apartment that day, a unit was assigned to stake out his place, as a BOLO alert had been issued and all of the NYPD were on the lookout for him after he narrowly escaped their grasp.
Jake and Ava, eager to catch him and those who worked with him, didn't sit idly by. They were scouting out the homes of his friends, driving through the streets where Arslan, Ryder, and the others lived, determined to find him no matter what.
As they drove by, they noticed that no one seemed to have returned to their houses, except for Isabella, whose car had been parked outside the entire time as she hadn't left her place strangely, making the two officers wonder what was going on.
"Do you think they skipped town already?" Ava asked Jake, who wouldn't have been surprised if they had. It wasn't the first time he had seen a criminal or an entire crew vanish suddenly from their usual spots once the cops started closing in on them.
