Just as the synopsis imply, this novel is all about dream keepers.

Everything seems ordinary on the outside. Normal people, way of life e.t.c. The only difference between there world and ours is the cursed memories.

Every child is born with an innate memory that is supposed to last him a lifetime. But, these memories are manipulated by a curse causing a disease known as 'the syndrome' .

This affects kids from the age of 18 and are handicapped by there dreams ad held hostage by the memories. Some there's, some borrowed, some inserted. That is why on every child's 18th birthday they are taken to the center for a year

Though some kids have the ability to avert the curse, they are chosen and trained to protect and preserve and are known as DREAM KEEPERS.
