The little rabbit, feeling guilty, averted its gaze, its drooping ears twitching.

The two ears bounced up and down, flinging water droplets, clearly harboring some guilty secret.
Baili An simply turned its little head toward him and, meeting its eyes, said, "Enough playing around after you're washed. If you weren't just a little rabbit, I would've suspected you were deliberately stalling."
The little fellow's dangling short legs stiffened slightly.
Under Baili An's scrutinizing gaze, it had a sudden inspiration. It cupped its paws and pretentiously wiped at its wet eyes, whimpering pathetically.
Its cry was so fake, and its whole body, drenched, clung to its bones, looking more dispirited and scruffy.
