I regretted.
I hated myself up to this point.
Why did I enter such a bizarre place?
Why was I so foolish to chase after such strange things?
The life that once bored me, that dull, uneventful life, but safe, now seemed so warm and dazzling.
I just wanted to return there, to my home, to my soft, comfortable bed, to sleep peacefully and forget everything that happened here today. After that, I would work diligently and live well, never again entertaining those impractical thoughts.
So, spare me... please let me go...
I knelt, knocking my head on the ground, crying inconsolably to the ghost spirit that might have been watching from somewhere, or maybe not.
However, no response came back from the darkness, and my spirit was engulfed by despair. Perhaps, I was going to die here, losing all decency and dignity, like a starving animal worthlessly perishing.
Fortunately, in the end, I didn't die there.
Due to hunger, I had passed out and then someone woke me up.
