Chapter 67 - A Test of Strength

"You're not the same, Aria," Logan's voice echoed in the dimly lit hallway, his words cutting through the silence like a blade.

Aria's pulse quickened as she stood in the corridor, her back to him, yet every inch of her body knew he was there, watching her, waiting for her to crack. The scent of danger, of manipulation, lingered in the air like a storm just before it broke. Her wolf stirred within her, the unease creeping into her limbs as she gripped the railing, her fingers white with tension.

"I never was," she answered, her voice steady despite the rising tension in the air. She didn't turn around. She couldn't let him see how much his presence still affected her.

Logan stepped closer, his footsteps slow, deliberate, each one a reminder of the torment he had put her through in her past life. His voice dropped lower, darker. "You think you've changed, but deep down, you're still the same weak little girl who fell for my lies. And you always will be."
