"Do you think you can stop me, Aria?"
The words rang in Aria's ears as she stood in the middle of the dimly lit hallway, her body tense and her mind racing. She recognized the voice instantly. Logan. His malicious grin appeared in her mind's eye before she even saw him.
"Logan, I don't have time for your games," Aria snapped, her heart pounding in her chest, her anger rising like a storm within her.
Behind her, Dante remained silent, but she could feel his presence, his protection. He wasn't going to let Logan get close, not now. She could sense his readiness to act, the controlled rage just beneath the surface.
But Aria wasn't going to let Logan have the satisfaction of seeing her cower.
She turned around, locking eyes with him as he stepped forward, his hands clenched into fists. "You think you've won? You haven't even begun to understand the depths of my power."
