"Do you know why he did it, Aria?" Selene's voice cut through the silence like a dagger, her tone deceptively soft. "Why Logan left you to die?"
Aria froze mid-step, her breath catching in her throat. She turned slowly, her gaze meeting Selene's smug expression in the grand hall of Dante's estate. The other woman leaned casually against the marble pillar, her arms crossed and her lips curved in a sinister smile.
"What do you want, Selene?" Aria's voice was calm, but her fists clenched at her sides.
Selene pushed away from the pillar, sauntering closer with predatory grace. Her emerald-green dress clung to her figure, her appearance deliberately polished and provocative. "Just thought you'd want to know the truth," she said, circling Aria like a vulture. "He never loved you, you know. You were nothing more than a pawn in his little power game. A weak, disposable Luna."
