The big shots are arguing, but it doesn't stop everyone else from chatting normally.
Usopp: "That screen with the white border earlier seemed focused on Luffy. What's going to show on the red-bordered screen now?"
Franky: "That was the captain's turn, so it must be our crew's turn now, right? Hmm, super~!"
Scratchmen Apoo: "What's there for a little crew member to show off?! Maybe this screen's a transition to the Supernovas! They just showed the Straw Hat kid, now it's time to show other Supernovas!"
Eustass Kid: "It would be best if they showed me!"
Trafalgar Law: "Kid, stop dreaming. The Straw Hat captain clearly has a trait you don't have! Maybe the next scene will still focus on him."
Eustass Kid: "Law, if you've got nothing useful to say, then shut up! Believe it or not, I'll crush your head with my bare hands!"
Trafalgar Law: "With boring lines like that, even you wouldn't believe it."
Capone Bege: "We were supposed to watch the Summit War, but now we're being forced to watch something else... I'm actually curious about what's next!"
Today was originally the day of the Summit War, and there's a large live screen at Sabaody Archipelago.
These Supernovas have already found the best spots to enjoy the show...
But then this unexpected viewing system appeared.
As the red-bordered screen fully lit up, the image appeared!
[On a sunny hillside, a few large wooden houses stand together, forming a simple estate]
[In front of the main house, a group of bandits face a burly man in a black suit]
[Next to the man, there's a 7-year-old boy wearing a straw hat, lazily picking his nose...]
The scene is exactly the same as before.
Marco: "Didn't we see this scene already? Or am I losing my memory...?"
Jozu: "It's not just you, I remember seeing it too."
Izo: "Why is it playing the exact same scene?"
Hawkins: "Don't worry, let's keep watching... we'll figure it out soon enough."
Rocks D. Xebec: "Are they playing with us?"
Just as everyone was confused, something different happened in the scene
["Who is this kid?"]
[In the scene where Ace appears again, he still has that usual disdainful look.]
[He glances at Luffy, then picks up an iron pipe and walks off.]
[Luffy also glances at Ace.]
['This guy looks carefree, he probably won't amount to much...']
[With just a casual glance, Luffy shifts his gaze away.]
Portgas D. Ace: "Huh? No, Luffy isn't like that!"
Monkey D. Luffy: "Yeah, that's not me! I wouldn't badmouth Ace like that in my head!"
Shiki: "Could it be... that this is actually another version of you from a different world?"
Monkey D. Luffy: "Another world? What are you talking about..."
Shiki: "Shihahaha!! Just guessing!!!"
Hawkins: "It's not impossible. Garp, Ace, and that female bandit seem just like before, but this Luffy is clearly different."
Nami: "Why does this Luffy seem more mature than our Luffy?"
Roronoa Zoro: "Be more confident, drop the 'seem'~"
Vinsmoke Sanji: "Haha!"
["Aren't you going to play with him?"]
["Bandit Dadan is surprised to see that Luffy is ignoring Ace."]
[She figured, since they're the same age, they'd naturally play together.]
["Time is valuable. It would be foolish to waste it playing. My grandfather sent me here to train, not to play house with these little kids."]
[Luffy smirked and shook his head casually.]
Usopp: "What?! Luffy actually said something like that?"
Trafalgar Law: "The captain of the Straw Hat Pirates in the red hat is sounding pretty cool, huh..."
Portgas D. Ace: "Ugh... Even though I know it's not our Luffy, listening to his tone makes me want to punch him!"
Monkey D. Luffy: "Don't worry, Ace. I won't be as dumb as that guy!"
Monkey D. Garp: "You idiot!! What nonsense are you spouting? The red-hat Luffy's actions are spot on!! If you trained like him, you'd at least be a Marine Vice Admiral by now!!"
Monkey D. Luffy: "Grandpa, anyone can talk big! I don't believe he's getting anywhere with just training."
["Who let this little brat talk like an adult? Since your grandpa sent you here, you're doing chores for me starting today. Don't expect to eat for free!"]
[Dadan clenched her fists.]
[Of course, she wasn't really serious. If Luffy slacked off, she wouldn't hold it against him.]
["Ridiculous! Didn't I say it already? Time is precious. I need to train. I'll be back for lunch, so make plenty of food—I eat a lot!"]
[Luffy waved and started heading toward the nearby mountains.]
["Ugh! This is frustating! I've got to teach you a lesson today!"]
[Dadan wasn't one to take that attitude lightly.]
[This kid is acting like he runs the place!]
[She immediately commanded two of her strongest bandits to give Luffy a lesson. Of course, these two were her trusted subordinates—they knew they just needed to rough him up a little.]
[The two bandits rolled up their sleeves and approached Luffy with fierce looks.]
When people watching the screen saw the bandits about to teach Luffy a lesson, many of them took pleasure in his misfortune.
Let's see how you act now, kid! You're gonna get beaten for sure this time!!
[Ding!]
[Entering the prize question segment!]
[Question: What will Luffy do next?]
A: Refuse to give in and get beaten up!
B: Invoke the name of his grandfather Garp, causing the two bandits to retreat in fear.
C: Fight the two bandits and earn their respect!
D: Accidentally reveal his six-pack abs covered in Armament Haki, scaring the two bandits into giving him a massage. (T/N: Originally it was written eighteen-pack abs. should I have not changed it?)
E: Kneel down and beg for forgiveness, admitting his mistake and asking the two seniors to spare him.
