Chereads / Master, Meet Your Ex ! / Chapter 2 - Xiyu

Chapter 2 - Xiyu

Location: Xiyu

Weather: Sunny

No One stepped into the city.

His current attire is quite mixed.

If compared, it leans more towards that of an Elf.

A bard's hat, clothing made of fabric instead of leather or iron armor like typical melee classes.

On his back, he carries a Bard's mandolin, with a Chinese sword at his side.

He looks like a mixed bag of culture.

Initially, No One's starting point was this Western Region. With the Bard class.

Afterwards, he primarily completed quests in the Extreme East.

Although it's called the Xiyu ( Western Valley ), it's actually positioned more centrally on the map. That's why you can choose from quite a variety of classes from both side.

Previously, No One chose this place partly because of the scenery and attire here.

Especially the Xiyu Dancer. Sigh.

Wonderful.

However, being a Bard in the Western Region doesn't mean players can wear the attire of the Dancers here.

He used to think that a female character playing Bard in the Western Region would obtain that outfit, but unfortunately, no.

In fact, quite a few female players were mistakenly led to choose Bard in the Western Region... Sadly, they shared the same fate.Even so, to undergo a job change, players must return to their starting location to complete the process.

Instead of being explicitly called a job change quest, in the game, it is referred to as the "Great Examination."

The various sects, guilds, and factions of the game's classes will send representatives to the locations that host the "Great Examination."

If described, the examination sites resemble a stadium or a Roman arena.

Countless Class NPCs sit in the stands, observing the players.

Depending on how they assess players' use of class skills, they decide whether to extend a job change invitation or not.

No One stepped into the arena, yet he was in no rush to change his class.

He found a vacant seat in the arena next to the job change NPCs.

Although the arena was packed with NPCs, one might imagine that every new class would have a different NPC here. However, given the capacity of the arena, there were still more empty seats than occupied ones.

Looking around, many NPCs seemed to have very distinctive outfits. No One could vaguely imagine that some might be dark mages, while others wore outfits with a distinctly Western or Eastern flair.

Hmm... No One pondered a bit.

. . .

"Quick! Send a message to everyone's phone in the guild; tomorrow afternoon, we're going to raid the new dungeon!"

"What class is Sword of Love changing to that's taking so long? He started in the morning and still hasn't finished!?""Where is No One? Call that rascal back to the guild immediately!"

The Moonlight Clan.

This is No One's guild.

Everyone is busy preparing for the newly opened dungeon raid in the game.

With each new update, active guilds are always a bit chaotic in excitement.

Each update of this game includes extensive content and activities, making the first few weeks after a new update extremely hectic.

Hana, who has just joined the guild, feels a bit confused by the bustling scene at the guild's headquarters.

Many people are undertaking various tasks here to prepare for the dungeon raid.

Although she just completed her membership procedure with the guild leader, Lady Lam, she is now standing awkwardly at the counter without knowing what to do next.

Her brother lured her into this game about a month ago, saying that the upcoming update would leave the guild short of necessary classes for raids, so he invited her to play.

Hana's current class is a Priest and Bard. Essentially, she is a pure support.

The number of players in each class is never balanced.

Warrior classes are usually the most crowded, followed by Mages and Archers, with the support classes like Bard and Priest having the least players.

However, Priests are crucial, so there are significantly more of them compared to Bards.

Hana's brother invited her to play because the guild was lacking in support roles.

And her brother's in-game name... ahem...! Even she doesn't want to call it out.

In fact, no one in the entire guild wants to fully say his name."Sword of Love" - That's what the guild usually calls him.

But his full in-game name is "Making Love with the Sword." ( * The name actually more...vulgar, but let call it making love. )

No One's actually ID is No 11 also. But people like to call him "No One" so...It sticks.

As the name suggests, this crazy guy is one of the few who dared to take two overlapping with no syngeries classes.

The combination of Swordsman + Sword Cultivator.

He is sword-craze to the point of madness.

This guy wields a western sword in one hand and an eastern Chinese sword in the other, acting as the guild's main DPS!

Lady Lam was scratching her head while drafting a message to send to the guild members about the dungeon content when her private chat pinged with a message from Sword of Love.

✧[ Making Love with the Sword: No need to look for No One; he's in Xiyu undergoing the Great Examination for a Job Change with me. ]✧

Lady Lam sighed.

✧[ Lady Lam: Why have you two been doing the job change all day until now, nearly dusk, and still haven't finished? It doesn't take this long to change jobs, does it? ]✧

Almost immediately, a reply came. It seemed Sword of Love had only the chat with Lady Lam open.

✧[ Making Love with the Sword: Haha. There's a chance we'll get lucky. No One might give us some great luck. ]✧

Great luck ?

✧[ Lady Lam: ... An opportunity related to job change? ]✧

✧[ Making Love with the Sword: Yes. ]✧

✧[ Lady Lam: Then why didn't you two change jobs from the first day to discover it early so we could all benefit? ]✧

✧[ Lady Lam: Are you trying to get your guild salary cut this month? ]✧

✧[ Lady Lam: Let me tell you, this month we're doing dungeon raids with a huge amount of rewards. ]✧

✧[ Lady Lam : If you don't get the guild rewards, don't even dream of getting good gear. ]✧

✧[ Lady Lam : Sends Smiley Icon ]✧

Sword of Love started sweating.

✧[ Making Love with the Sword: If you want to blame someone, blame No One. He only realized today. Yesterday, I was really busy with my sister's graduation and the celebration party. I'm innocent! ]✧

✧[ Making Love with the Sword: Sends Puppy Eyes Icon ]✧

✧[ Lady Lam: Innocent, my foot. Get lost. ]✧

Lady Lam sighed.

Her class was Warrior + Priest, and after the job change, it's now Paladin.

The class is quite formidable. It can tank, heal, and deal strong damage to enemies with the Dark attribute.

However, if those two really managed to change to a rare class, she'd be quite jealous.

"You're Hana, right?" Lady Lam smiled warmly at Hana, who seemed perplexed about what to do.

"Yes, ma'am."

"Welcome to the Moonlight Guild."

"It's the most chaotic guild in the game."

Hana started sweating.

The guild master herself calls the guild chaotic.

Brother, where have you led me into?

-

"No One, are you sure about this?"

"Yes."

"Alright. Let's go!"

Sword of Love jumped directly into the arena.

With boldness, he unsheathed two swords from each side.

His black hair fluttered in the wind, and his attire was reminiscent of a wandering swordsman in search of a duel.

He raised the long sword and pointed it at the face of the examiner.

"Making Love with the Sword. Level 69. Requesting to test."

Damn, this crazy guy. If only you didn't have such a ridiculous name, you'd probably get half a point for being good looking.

The examiner glared at him but said nothing.

"Choose your difficulty level."

"Hell."

"Alright."
