Third Person POV
Raef stood along with the other students in the hall, waiting for the staff to lead them to the Gym so they may begin the Aptitude Ranking. A tall lady with a tower of blue hair arrived Infront of Raef's line, her suit had a Support Staff nametag on it. It read "Support Staff: Janet Birch".
"Come with me. I assume you all already know what the Aptitude Ranking is? I still have to tell you anyway. The Aptitude Ranking is a series of tests where we measure your Physical skills and fitness level to sort you into your house. Does that make sense?"
Raef's group responded with a collective "Yes."
"Good, now follow me." She commanded.
She turned and began walking out a large door on the left side of the Hall.
"As Mr. Beacon has already told you, you are about to take the Aptitude Ranking to see your house." She continued.
"There are five sections to the test: Speed, Strength, Endurance, Skill, and lastly Academics. The last one doesn't have as big of a impact on you're results as it is a paper you fill in before you start the other four sections.
Raef nodded along with Janet, not wanting to seem like he wasn't listening.
"Just over here is the office." she said, pointing to a building with the schools logo on the side.
"And finally, we arrive at the Gym. Please wait in line and fill in the academic paper you will receive." She said.
Raef and the rest of his group joined the massive line. Soon after, they were handed the paper that Janet had informed them about. It was a small general knowledge test. After Raef had finished he gave it to a Staff member when they asked.
"Next twenty people, please." said a voice over the speakers.
Now it was Raef's time to do the Aptitude Ranking, and he was going to give it his all!
"Here we go! Fresh start!" He preached to himself.
The first test was Speed. When the whistle went, a stopwatch was started and the students were to run at their top speed across 200 meters, to the end, and be given their time. Raef was kind of disappointed with his time. It was 6.3 seconds. Then it was time for Strength. In this one, participants are told to hit a target as hard as they can to get their score. Raef's hit gave him 684 points. Now it was time for Endurance. In this one, students do a beep test. Raef ended up with 8:5. And for the last test: Skill. Skill is a test of skill across five sports: Football (Soccer), Swimming, Rugby, Basketball, and Golf. Collectively he scored 8/10 average skill.
After around an hour of wait he finally got his house. And to say the least, he was not very happy with it.
