Claire ran back home in a state of panic. She stood outside the mansion and didn't know what to do. If she entered now, her Nana would surely suspect something was wrong. But it was dangerous for her to stay outside. Calming herself, she went in and pretended to be normal. It was almost lunch time, the maids had prepared a delicious meal and her Nana was waiting for her to join. Claire quickly freshened up and joined the table.
"Are you okay, dear?" Nana looked at her with concern.
"Well, I am great." Claire clapped her hands once, nervously, and smiled.
"That's good! Let's have our meal." She arranged Claire's plate with the proper proportion of veggies and meat.
After their lunch, Claire entered her room and locked it from inside. Rubbing her hands in panic, she didn't know what to do. She messed up big time. She couldn't suddenly quit her job. And disappear from the city. He was Cain—Cain Wilson, an incredibly powerful man who has eyes all over the nation. Her escape was impossible.
"I messed up with Cain Wilson. Ugh! How foolish, Claire-" She cursed herself. As the hours ticked by, Claire mugged her brain but failed to come up with an idea to save herself.
__________
6pm~
At Imperial Axis Inc.
Cain sat in his chair, cross legged. Flipping through the files, as he completed the last one, he pushed it aside and straightened. His gaze fell on the ID that was kept beside the files. He picked it up and carefully examined Claire's picture and her details.
A faint smile captured his lips that turned into a slight chuckle as he remembered her shenanigans. The entire scene replayed in his mind. His amusement drew him towards her bravery and innocence. A spark flashed his eyes.
"Sir, I got the details of the illegal organ racket at Medwin hospital." Mark interrupted his thoughts.
Cain shifted his gaze to the file in Mark's hand. His face darkened. "They are a bunch of jerks. They better prepare their graves in advance." He stood up as he kept on reading the information and his face turned red in anger. "Check the USB," he said while still going through the information through the file.
Mark inserted the USB and opened the file named OrganRac. He was horrified to look at the images. He gagged and held up his palm to his mouth to avoid the sudden bile that rose in her throat. Cain looked at Mark's discomfort and gritted his teeth, wondering how horrid those exposures might be.
He walked to his laptop and one glance at the screen made his blood boil to the degree that he wanted to shatter the entire hospital into granules of sand. He ordered Mark to prepare a plan and arrange things accordingly. Cain wasn't going to go easy on this no matter what. Being ruthless was different from being inhuman.
The details of the people involved were yet to be retrieved, So Cain held on to the matter and decided to visit the hospital the next day.

Night passed by, Claire tired and exhausted from all the wandering around and thinking. She fell asleep on the bed, curled up into a ball. The next morning Nana woke her up for her work. Rubbing her eyes Claire murmured "Aya' Nana, I want to sleep some more."
Nana chuckled and told her that she had some news that might help her uncover the illegal things happening at her hospital. This made Claire wake up to reality. Her eyes widened as the scenes with Cain replayed in her mind. She hurried to get ready and went to work to see the status.
As she reached the hospital, her day went by as usual. After the lecture, she was busy explaining to her colleague the topic of Angina pectoris and discussed some symptoms and diseases. Soon, the class fell quiet and Claire, unknown to the situation, screamed excitedly, "The correct diagnosis is peripheral neuropathy." She marked all the symptoms with a tick and reached the diagnosis.
She looked around awkwardly and her classmates signed her towards the entrance. She slowly turned towards the direction they were pointing at and as their eyes locked, Her breath hitched in her throat, her pupils contracting. She wanted the floor to swallow her alive. Her hands trembled as she stared at him in a daze. Until now, she was excited to even get a glimpse of what had turned into a horrific nightmare.
Yes, it was Cain Wilson, standing at the entrance, observing all her actions.
Mark stood beside him, controlling his laugh. He thought to himself, 'Why is this girl so clumsy? She seems like a good doctor yet she is so naive and childish."
"Mr, Wilson, this is our department of 5C. The interns here are very talented, hardworking and smart." Professor Aldien broke the silence.
"Professor, are you sure they are all smart and talented?" Mark reconfirmed, shifting his gaze towards Claire.
"Jerk." Claire muttered under her breath.
"Without a doubt, sir," Professor Aldien answered proudly.
Cain hummed and continued. "What would you do? If your patient or any person refuses to hear what you have to say?" Cain calmly questioned putting his hands in his pocket. The class excitedly answered.
"Sir, I would try to analyse the situation and explain it to them accordingly," Said a girl adjusting her glasses.
"Sir, firstly, I will look at the patient's condition and calmly talk to him." Another added.
"Sir, I will find a suitable time to have a conversation, and try to convince them," said a guy who sat right behind Claire. By now, Claire understood what was going on. She clenched the pen in her hand.
"That's great!" Cain clapped. "I recently encountered a doctor on my way who had their way in forcefully. They barged in the person's private space and made them listen to what they had to say. I see you all have a great sense of approach, I just wanted to make sure that doctors from our hospital are smart and disciplined." With a faint smile, he walked out
With a final glance, Mark chuckled at Claire and followed Cain to the exit. Claire sat there dumbfounded. How ridiculous!
"This is insane. Bloody shitbags." She cursed under her breath. She had been scared shitless and here they had come only to make fun of her.
