Chapter 21 - Chapter 23: Applications of Basic Core Concepts

It's more about reinventing a computer language rather than simplifying it. Completely breaking away from existing systems, we aim to create a unique path, with a simplified code instruction set of the humanoid civilization at its core, combined with the existing English code system to reshape a new advanced computer language.

In Wang Shuo's plan, this new advanced computer language must meet the following specific requirements: simplicity, minimalism, efficiency, stability, and advancement. That is, it should be easier to learn, smaller in size, more efficient in operation, more stable in programs, and higher in language level.

This demands that Wang Shuo redefine every assembly instruction. When defining to the deepest level, he even needs to redefine binary units composed of 0s and 1s, and then reassemble the redefined binary files into single instructions. These instructions form the assembly command language, which is then applied to the simplified code instruction set of the humanoid civilization, re-integrating into composite instructions. After omitting extremely detailed parts, a new set of instructions is formed.

This is an extremely complicated task, consuming a lot of time and energy. However, Wang Shuo has no shortcuts; he can only give full play to his selfless work spirit of not fearing hardship and sacrifice, typing out the desired code structure one code, one command at a time.

It's not easy.

At least Wang Shuo feels that working tirelessly all night didn't yield much progress.

It was only when the first rays of the rising sun shone into the room that Wang Shuo realized it was already dawn, and he had unknowingly stayed in front of the computer all night.

What surprised him even more was that after a night of high-intensity coding and brainwork, he now felt no discomfort at all, but rather refreshed. Only the discomfort from his body reminded him that he had been sitting all night.

Looking at the time in the bottom right corner of the computer, it was 7:25 AM.

Thanks to Chen Xin, Wang Shuo, who never used to have breakfast in the morning, has now developed the good habit of having breakfast on time. Just like now, Wang Shuo can hear his stomach protesting, and if he ignores it, it will probably escalate into a riot soon.

"I estimate I've completed about three percent of the workload."

Muttering to himself, Wang Shuo stood up, walked to the window, and stretched while looking at the calm lake in the distance.

The software park is very quiet at this time. There is almost no one walking on the road, only some unknown birds chirping noisily. Occasionally, a gentle breeze passes by, and the long willow branches sway in the wind.

Wang Shuo, pondering over what to eat, was about to avert his gaze when he suddenly saw someone walking quietly on the path, heading directly towards the building he was in.

"She's here," Wang Shuo thought with some surprise.

A few minutes later, Wang Shuo heard noises from the first floor. Shortly after, a striking figure appeared at the third-floor stairwell. She had long, smooth hair cascading over her shoulders, a high nose bridge, thin lips, and calm eyes like the sea.

Wang Shuo stared at Chen Xin with a displeased expression. This woman had dug such a big hole for him, and now she was probably here to laugh at him.

"Why are you here?" he asked.

Chen Xin didn't speak. She looked at the computer screen and the light that Wang Shuo had forgotten to turn off, her beautiful eyebrows knitting slightly.

"Didn't sleep all night?"

Was she... concerned about him?

Wang Shuo suddenly felt a bit guilty. He remembered that he owed this woman a huge sum of three million yuan. She was his creditor, and although he was reluctant to admit it, he was indeed just a small worker now.

"Not really..." he started to say.

Chen Xin looked at him quietly.

"Okay," Wang Shuo surrendered pathetically, pointing at the computer. "Yesterday, I had to rebuild some basic structures from scratch, and before I knew it..."

"Let's have breakfast." Chen Xin didn't seem to care much about these things. She placed the plastic bag she was holding in front of the computer and looked carefully at the screen full of code data. Realizing that she couldn't understand it, she finally sat down on the sofa beside and took out the book she always carried with her.

Being able to read anywhere was Chen Xiao's unique skill.

However, this girl is quite skilled at delivering breakfast, increasingly embodying the demeanor of a virtuous wife and mother.

Wang Shuo inwardly praised her, but his face didn't reveal any flaws. He sat down beside the computer without any hesitation and picked up the... um, steamed buns, fried dough sticks, and millet porridge that Chen Xin had brought for him.

Not bad, very considerate.

Bread and milk might be nice to eat, but they're too bland.

He took a delicious bite of the bun and then a big gulp of the millet porridge. As the warm food slowly descended into his stomach with its temperature, Wang Shuo suddenly felt like his small life goals had been achieved, and he was greatly satisfied.

Especially since this breakfast was personally delivered by Miss Chen Xin, it seemed like the breakfast had... become more valuable.

Thinking that each bun might be worth hundreds of thousands, Wang Shuo felt that he couldn't waste it. He would eat as much as he could, accepting everything that came his way.

As the last bun and the last spoonful of porridge went into his stomach, Miss Chen timely lifted her head.

"Wang Shuo."

Wang Shuo had a questioning look on his face.

"It's nothing." Chen Xin lowered her head again: "I might stay a while before leaving, just letting you know."

"Oh." Wang Shuo nodded, not feeling anything amiss.

After finishing breakfast and stretching, Wang Shuo immediately focused his attention on the computer in front of him and began to rethink his approach.

"Completing only about three percent of the progress in one night is definitely not enough. At this rate, I won't even be able to create the most basic new code language, let alone build the system."

Wang Shuo frowned, deep in thought, and had already ignored Chen Xin beside him.

Women, he thought, would only affect his typing speed.

According to Wang Shuo's original plan, he was going to start working on the control system only after the new advanced computer language was successfully developed, which would save him a lot of effort and energy.

However, after calculating the workload from yesterday, Wang Shuo realized that this plan was not feasible. The complexity of the new computer language had exceeded his expectations. If he continued with the original plan, he would need at least twelve days to fully compile the new computer language. But with only three days left, it was too short a time, even with the new computer language, to successfully develop and test the control system, let alone add features and make it compatible.

Wang Shuo had to temporarily put this plan aside and think of another way.

"I can only work on the necessary parts first and gradually complete the rest. In this case... That's right!"

Wang Shuo suddenly brightened up. He shook his head with some annoyance, wondering how he could have forgotten such an important thing.

"The thing I used to fool the teacher yesterday turned out to be useful today."

Whether it was due to Wang Shuo's good judgment or sheer luck, he randomly picked out the so-called cornerstone of the humanoid civilization's intelligent core primary architecture yesterday. He even used this to concoct a name called "Node-Type Self-Loop Neural Network," successfully impressing Teacher Ding Runan and achieving his goal of getting a leave of absence.

Of course, if he didn't have such a strong sense of self-esteem, that would be even better. The three million on his back always gave him the illusion of working for Chen Xin.

Shaking his head, Wang Shuo started to seriously output code.

There seemed to be an endless stream of ideas pouring into his mind, and his fingers were typing rapidly on the keyboard. Wang Shuo specifically prioritized compiling the command sets for building the primary intelligent core, while completely ignoring those that were less important or not needed at all.

Time flew by amidst the constant sound of Wang Shuo's typing and Chen Xin's flipping pages.

At 7 p.m.

Chen Xin closed her book on time, signaling to the bodyguard who came to deliver the meal to put the food box aside and not disturb the rapidly typing Wang Shuo.

She herself picked up the food box gently and, accompanied by the bodyguard, walked to the first floor.

"Miss, just now Uncle Chen called again to ask about your time of return."

"Wait a little longer."

"I'm afraid we can't wait any longer." The bodyguard hesitated. "The chairman has come in person."

"He knows I'm here?"

"He doesn't. You instructed that this place involves group secrets and must not be disclosed to outsiders." The bodyguard seemed to hesitate: "Not even to the chairman."

"You did well."

Chen Xin nodded faintly.

"Since my father is here, let's go back."
