Matthew turned to Collins, his Chief of Staff, who stood near the desk, waiting for orders. "Get the Attorney General on the phone. Right now."
Collins gave a sharp nod and stepped toward the telephone on the corner table. Within moments, the line connected. "Sir, it's urgent. The President needs you now."
Matthew didn't wait for pleasantries. When Attorney General Daniel Whitaker' voice came through, Matthew spoke with measured intensity.
"Whitaker, listen carefully. I have undeniable proof that multiple senators, high-ranking military officials, and business leaders have conspired to fabricate a war. I need arrest warrants drafted immediately."
