As Matthew Hesh's car navigated the lively streets of Washington, D.C., the enormity of his meeting with President Theodore Clay weighed heavily on him. By the time he returned to his hotel, the evening sun cast a golden glow over the city. Matthew stepped out of the car, his mind racing with thoughts of diplomacy, innovation, and responsibility. Inside the suite, Robert Anders was already at work, setting up a makeshift workspace with maps, documents, and a typewriter on the dining table.

"Figured you'd need this ready," Robert said, glancing up with a knowing look.

Matthew dropped his coat onto the back of a chair and approached the table.
