Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Rise Of A Corrupted Leader

Yaxoc sat with Marcus and Luna, watching TV, when an unexpected broadcast interrupted their show. The screen flickered before a shadowy figure appeared, his eyes gleaming with unsettling confidence.

"Greetings, citizens!" The man's voice echoed. "I'm sure you're wondering why this 'creepy' broadcast has taken over your TV." He grinned, pausing for dramatic effect. "Well, it's because I am your city's new leader!" The screen filled with static before he added, "The name's Ogamak Sirius."

With that, the broadcast cut off, leaving the room in silence. Yaxoc squinted, something about the man's name tugging at his memory. "Wait… did anyone else notice? There wasn't a single reporter there, just him."

Marcus crossed his arms, his brow furrowed. "Yeah, and that name… it sounds familiar. Like we've heard it somewhere dark."

"Hold it!" Luna shot up from the couch. "Ogamak Sirius… he's a Type 4 Demon!"

Yaxoc's eyes widened. "A demon? What does that even mean?"

Marcus jumped in. "Demons are ranked by types. The lower the type, the weaker they are. Type 4 is extremely high up—it's serious power. A Type 4 demon as a leader? That's dangerous. And if he's corrupted, he might be planning to destroy the city."

Yaxoc clenched his fists. "So what are we waiting for? We need to stop him!"

"Hold on," Marcus warned. "We can't just charge in. Nobody knows he's a demon; they'd think we were crazy. We need a plan."

Luna nodded, grabbing her phone. "I'll get in touch with Mr. Hight. He knows about demons and can help us strategize."

Marcus glanced at Yaxoc, who was deep in thought. "We'll need every advantage we can get."

Yaxoc finally nodded, eyes blazing with resolve. "Then let's do this right."

A few hours later, Luna returned, her face pale with worry. "Mr. Hight has sensed Ogamak's power—and he's confirmed something worse: Ogamak is in contact with Lucius."

"Are you kidding me?" Yaxoc shouted, his voice laced with anger.

Marcus frowned, his voice grim. "This is bad. Ogamak's demonic energy alone is devastating, capable of continental destruction. If he's sharing even a fraction of that with Lucius… it could escalate into a planetary threat."

Luna nodded, her expression darkening. "And it's already starting. Ogamak's recruiting soldiers, sharing his power with them. If he keeps this up, we could be facing a civil war right here."

Suddenly, a burst of shouting echoed from the street outside.

Yaxoc's head shot up. "Let's check it out."

They rushed outside and were greeted by a scene of chaos. Smoke billowed from the center of the city, flames illuminating the figures of powerful, unfamiliar enemies.

Luna's eyes narrowed. "New enemies… and they look strong."

Just then, a savior of Z+ Rank landed beside them, his energy crackling. He grinned. "Well, looks like you guys found the party."

Luna's eyes lit up. "It's the Elemental Fighter!"

Yaxoc and Marcus exchanged a deadpan glance. "We noticed, Luna."

Volt, the elemental savior of lightning, stepped forward, his gaze cold and unwavering. "You picked the wrong day to invade."

One of the enemies sneered. "And what are you gonna do about it, charging port?" The others joined in with mocking laughter.

Volt's smile turned into a smirk. "You'll find out soon enough, worms."

He raised his hands, crackling with electric energy. "Lightning Magic: Thunder Marks!"

With a shout, Volt unleashed a storm of electrifying energy, illuminating the battlefield as multiple lightning strikes hit the ground, forming powerful, glowing marks that pulsed with energy.

The enemies looked around in sudden terror and attempted to flee—only to find themselves immobilized mid-air, held fast by Mr. Hight's telekinetic force.

"Not so fast," Mr. Hight said, his eyes gleaming with determination.

Yaxoc, Luna, and Marcus watched, steeling themselves as the two powerful saviors prepared to unleash the next wave of attacks.

With the enemies defeated, Volt turned to Mr. Hight. "Hey, thanks for the backup!"

Mr. Hight gave a nod. "No problem, Volt. Teamwork makes the difference."

Just as everyone began to catch their breath, Yaxoc's eyes narrowed, spotting a shadowed figure lurking nearby—a skilled assassin, barely visible until they lunged forward.

"Watch out!" Yaxoc shouted, but Luna was already there, intercepting the attacker with a fierce strike.

"Luna!" Mr. Hight yelled urgently. "Hold back! That assassin carries demonic essence!"

Luna glared back, her eyes blazing with resolve. "Stay out of my way, Mr. Hight! I'm finishing this!"

The assassin hissed and countered with swift, sharp strikes, but Luna met each one, unyielding.

"Well, this escalated fast," Yaxoc muttered, glancing at Marcus.

Marcus nodded, already charging forward. "Then let's back her up."

Yaxoc followed, and together with Marcus, they joined Luna in the battle, their combined strength pressing the assassin into retreat.

Yaxoc and Marcus coordinated their assault, coming at the assassin from all angles. Despite their fierce attacks, the assassin deftly parried each one, then landed a strike that sent both of them flying back.

"Damn it! He's fast!" Marcus muttered, frustration in his voice.

Yaxoc smirked, his adrenaline spiking. "Finally, a worthy opponent!"

Without hesitation, Yaxoc lunged forward, delivering a powerful kick that sent the assassin crashing into a parked car. Before the assassin could recover, Yaxoc appeared in front of him, gripping the assassin by the collar and slamming him to the ground repeatedly. With one final effort, Yaxoc launched him into the sky with a powerful kick.

"Marcus!" Yaxoc called out.

"On it!" Marcus replied, teleporting above the airborne assassin. "Ice Magic: Glacier Slam!"

He chanted, summoning an enormous glacier that crashed down on the assassin with such force that it sent a shockwave through the area, shattering nearby buildings and leaving the ground trembling from the impact. As the dust settled, Yaxoc and Marcus exchanged a nod, their teamwork having landed a devastating blow—but they both knew this fight wasn't over yet.

Zarzock stood, his face contorted with rage. "ZARZOCK?!" Yaxoc shouted in surprise, taking in the assassin's familiar form.

"Wait, Zarzock?" Marcus echoed, disbelief crossing his face.

"So that explains why he was faster than before," Luna muttered, frowning. "What are you doing here?"

"Ugh, you brats," Zarzock spat, his tone laced with fury. "I'm here to make you pay, Yaxoc, for what you did to me."

Yaxoc rolled his eyes, unimpressed. "And let me guess—you're stronger now?"

"More than you can imagine!" Zarzock declared. "Defeating me won't be so simple this time!"

Without warning, Zarzock charged forward, aiming a powerful punch directly at Yaxoc's chest. But Yaxoc sidestepped and countered with a swift manji kick, sending Zarzock stumbling backward.

"Ever heard of this kick?" Yaxoc smirked.

Zarzock's eyes widened, recognizing the move. "Wait... isn't that what Itadori us—" Before he could finish, Yaxoc landed a solid punch to Zarzock's face, cutting him off.

"AGH! I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU!" Zarzock roared, unleashing a burst of energy. "That's it! Energy Magic: Energy Bomb!"

A massive bomb materialized before Yaxoc, exploding in a brilliant flash. The force sent Yaxoc hurtling through the air before he crashed to the ground, injured but determined.

"Agh… damn it," Yaxoc groaned, forcing himself to stand despite the pain.

Zarzock approached, a wicked grin on his face. "What's wrong, Yaxoc? I thought you'd put up more of a fight."

But Yaxoc let out a quiet chuckle, his eyes glinting with defiance. "You think that was enough?"

Zarzock's smirk faded, realizing something was off. "Wait… the explosion didn't kill you, but... where did the energy go?"

Seeing Zarzock distracted, Yaxoc seized the moment, focusing the energy he'd secretly absorbed from the bomb into his fist. "TAKE THIS!"

With a powerful punch, Yaxoc unleashed the stolen energy directly at Zarzock. The impact erupted in a blinding explosion, completely obliterating Zarzock from existence in a final flash of light.

As the dust settled, Yaxoc stood alone, bruised but victorious, watching the remnants of the explosion dissipate.

In the leader's chamber, Lucius sat across from Ogamak Sirius, the newly proclaimed leader of the city, who regarded him with a confident smirk.

"So," Ogamak leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction, "what do you think of my power, eh?"

Lucius returned the look with a smirk of his own. "Its essence is powerful—almost unexpectedly so for a Type 4 demon like you." He paused, weighing his words. "So, do you mind sharing some of that power with me? I promise I'll repay the favor."

Ogamak laughed, a deep, resonant sound. "Of course, Lucius. You're my best friend, after all." With a gesture, he channeled a sliver of his essence, releasing precisely 0.1% of his power into Lucius. The energy coursed through Lucius, seeping into every fiber of his being.

Lucius rose to his feet, feeling his strength surge, his aura expanding with new intensity. "Oh yes… I can feel it," he murmured, reveling in the sensation. "But tell me, just how powerful is your essence, Ogamak?"

Ogamak leaned back, a sinister glint in his eyes. "Well, let's just say that my full essence could level a city—or reduce a mountain to rubble in seconds. It all depends on what I'm in the mood to obliterate." He chuckled before adding, "In your case, with just 0.1% of my essence, you're capable of wiping out not just one, but two cities, and up to fifty mountains if you so choose!"

Lucius grinned, his mind racing with the possibilities. "With this power, there won't be anyone who can stand in my way."
