Watts abruptly stood up, startling Layla who had just calm down.
Watts suddenly stood up and rushed to the operation room like a phantom, he did not even bother knocking but just broke through the door, hence effectively startling everybody inside out of their wits, not knowing how to react.
The only fortunate thing is that the doctors hadn't started on the surgery, or else they would have really hurt the patient with the way they were startled. Even Layla was really confused and scared, one second she is peacefully talking to her brother, the next........he disappeared to the operation room.
"Fuck, please you have to stay out of this room, you cannot just break in, okay? This is a crime and you can be arrested for it." The head doctor said angrily.
He almost had a heart attack, for a second there he thought it was something like a terrorist attack or something. Because those doors aren't easy to forcefully open, he was even still wondering how this seemingly normal young man opened it.
Layla who was still outside at the waiting place, hearing the doctor's shouts also broke out her stupor and rushed to her brother.
"Hey, hey, brother what's wrong?" She worriedly asked.
"Please take him out of here or else we are calling the police, after this operation, we shall have to have a talk. David, go inform the boss." The head doctor shouted at Layla as he also ordered one of the junior doctors.
David, the junior, rushed out of the room to go do as told and Layla tried to pull her brother out of the room, but he wouldn't budge even an inch, it was as if he was an unmovable mountain.
"Brother, please let's get out of here, don't make it complicated than it already is. Aunt will die if we don't let the doctors work on her," Layla desperately tried to plead.
But Watts didn't budge, in fact, from the moment he entered the room, his eyes have been focused in one corner of the room. He was looking at the corner without even blinking, if one tried to look closer, they would notice overflowing anger from his eyes that he was trying so much to control.
Some of the still confused doctors had tried to follow his eyesight to see if there was anything making him act the way he was, but all they saw was......…. a white wall. Everything was just the way it should be, then why the hell was the boy looking at the wall like it had killed his mother.
'Maybe he has some mental issues.' Was all they could think.
But Watts was seeing something normal people couldn't, something that was making his very blood boil in anger. A middle-aged man standing in the corner of his aunt's operation room with a wide smirk on his bushy face.
Without a doubt this was Shadow, and since he was now in the hospital where his aunt was, that could only mean one thing.
'It was him' Watts thought in anger.
It was him who had hurt his aunt; it was him who had made his aunt suffer, it was him who deserves death a thousand times. And seeing the man look at him with a provocative smirk, he couldn't help but boil in anger.
However Shadow seemed like was in a different realm, it was as if he wasn't even in the same room, and according to his powers, Watts concluded it was like a time plane, where he could move to the future, present, and past as easily as ABC.
So even if he wanted nothing else but to punch the guy in the face and wipe off that annoying smirk, he couldn't, he wouldn't even be able to punch him but would punch right through him, he even wouldn't have been able to see or sense him if it wasn't for his sharp mind as a supreme human.
"What is going on here?" a voice cut through the tension in the room.
Everyone turned to look at the newcomer....... well everyone but Watts.
It was Lisa, the owner of the hospital had come rushing after hearing that the supposed boyfriend of her beloved pure sister, and of course her own crush, had forcefully entered the operation room during the surgery.
She couldn't help but wonder why on earth a guy like that, who really loved his aunt would do something like that, and how the hell could he open the room forceful, those doors were even bullet proof.
The first thing she did when she reached there was look at the door, and to her shock and surprise, the handle was broken, and if one was really observant, they would notice that the metal of the handle had finger bendings.
This was something you do to a piece of bread, where you hold it firmly in your hands and the moment you let go, your finger marks will be left there, but on a bullet proof metal? That was insane.
She looked at Watts with surprise, he wasn't even turning to face her, but all his focus was on a certain corner of the room there in her own perception, nothing was there.
As for Layla, she was almost crying, what the hell was her brother thinking? What is he even doing, did he want to let Liz to die, did he......…. But the moment she thought about it, she felt terribly guilty. How could she think such things about her own brother, who has always been there for for her and their aunt?
She was sure he would never do anything that would hurt their aunt, and what he was doing had to had a very good reason, maybe he discovered they wanted to kill her aunt. Because in her heart, her brother was always right, and she would stand firmly behind his no matter the situation.
"What do you want?" Watts finally spoke out coldly to the supposedly wall.
Everyone in the room suddenly felt a cold shiver down their spine, even the air was suddenly turning a bit too cold, and this was summer. But the question on everyone's mind was the same.
'Who is he talking to?'
But nobody had the courage to ask, their instincts telling them not to interfere or else danger.
As for Shadow, he only smiled at Watts, not in the least bit bothered by the angry young man. It was as if he was silently taunting Watts, you can be as angry as you want, but can you punch me.
But then Watts had had it all, enough is enough. A complex algorithm of runes flashed brightly in his eyes, and before Shadow could understand what that meant, his instincts screamed at him so loud it was the loudest his sixth sense had warned him.
It was as if if he didn't get the hell out of the Time Realm, then he was done for, and instinctively, he followed his instincts, flashing out of the realm to the real world, his forehead covered in cold sweat, he really was going to die from the very first confrontation?
He really was surprised now, no, in fact, he was shocked. He knew the young boy was a bearer of a god level ability, but what kind of ability could harm him in his Time plane? Is it like a space ability? Because if it was, then his job just got a whole lot harder.
But then again, he thought of the abilities in his arsenal that he could use against a space ability user and calmed down. Everyone knew that time was more dangerous than space, no questions asked.
But if a space oriented superhuman veteran who had researched heavily and developed their abilities were to fight a time oriented one, then space would win, no doubt.
After all, even time needed space to work, time couldn't be perceived without space, so these two were really dangerous against each other.
But then as soon as he appeared in the real world, his sixth sense shut up as if nothing had happened, he could help but get confused, does that mean the young boy managed to confuse his senses to make him get to the real world? He wondered silently.
'Does that mean I have been cucked by my senses?'
The moment Shadow appeared out of nowhere, everyone who was confused up to now jumped up in fright, since when do people do that? It was at this time that they understood why Watts was acting weirdly all along.
But before anyone could react, Watts disappeared from the door where he had been standing all this time and appeared in front the weirdly dressed guy, Shadow, and without further ado, Watts held onto Shadow's arm firmly, turned around to face Layla.
"I will be back in a sec, take care of aunt."
And with that, he disappeared with Shadow, leaving behind a room full of confused and self-doubting people.
"D-Did they just....."
"Yeah, they just did."
"Fuck!"
